what do you think would be better, being torured forever in hell (assuming it exists) or simply dying and being nothing? i think hell would be better because at least in hell you would exist.
-
well assuming hell exists and you end up there, you get to experience an eternaty wishing you never existed and if you no longer exist, well, at least your at peace right?
-
-
yeah definately!! Sleep forever or be tortured hhmmmm easy answer for me lol
Sleep sleep sleep!
-
-
yea, I believe in end of my exsistance.
-
That, even though said by an intellectual far my superior also, has to be the most, in my perceptions, dumbest thing I have ever heard. Ask a suicide victim what they think, and that's just Earth. I have seen the visuals of hell, and even that was unbearable.
How old are you? -
It's not sleeping. You sleep in hope that you will wake up. When you are dead...
It really depends on how bad hell actually is I guess. To be able to decide. So how bad is it WC? -
All things bad, and worse, forever. Complete isolation and terror. Never getting used to it, the pain just ever increasing.
This is just my understanding of the concept at hand. I had some visions, it was pretty scary. -

I had some visions, it was pretty scary.
And what made you believe the visions were of hell or in fact real at all.
I've never had a vision and I'm interested to learn why some people have them.
Do you think it's because they need to have them to help them in their life?

Our concept of hell is generally taken from Dante's Inferno. It is totally unbiblical. What loving father would want to watch his children be in eternal torment? As noted in other discussions on this site about hell, the biblical hell means only in the grave or pit. You are asleep in death until the resurrection. At that point you will either accept God's ways and live eternally or you will you will be utterly and completely be extinguished You will just cease to exist on any level. That is the mercy of a loving God.

Gnashing of teeth? I too have an inclining to believe this notion to be true, but this element of the scriptures cannot be denied (yet explained, if you care to).
-
The bible actually goes against the anihiliation theory. It is a place with gnashing of teeth. With the undying wom (A metaphore to simbolize that Hell never ends). I would like to tell you the whole readinds that stoped me frmo believing in anhiliation. And I'll give you the links.

It agve me lots of information to help me see the difference of the annihilition of the soul, and what the bible really says. -
-
I think you missed this one DP. The Bible clearly says that the soul that sins shall die. Man is not and does not have an immortal soul. Jesus also said to not fear those that can destroy your body but fear Him who can destroy your (physical) body and your (human) spirit, which is God.

-
Did you read the links? They have already refuted those statements I believe.
Here is a quote from it
"Turning to the New Testament, annihilationists claim that the Greek word apollumi conveys total annihilation. Stott asserts that the verb apollumi means "destroy," and the noun apoleia means "destruction." He cites Matthew 2:13, 12:14, and 27:4, which refer to Herod's desire to destroy the baby Jesus, and the later Jewish plot to have Him executed. Stott then mentions Matthew 10:28 (cf. James 4:12): "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy [apolesai] both soul and body in hell." [20] He regards this "destruction" as a reference to the soul's total annihilation in hell. Stott also offers the contrast between believers and unbelievers as manifest proof: "If believers are hoi sozomenoi (those who are being saved), then unbelievers are hoi apollumenoi (those who are perishing). This phrase occurs in 1 Corinthians 1:18, 2 Corinthians 2:15; 4:3, and in 2 Thessalonians 2:10." [21] He believes that this language of destruction points to the total annihilation of the wicked."
But you have to read the whole thing. for it to fit together

Why go hell, why not make efforts to reach heaven
Why must we be so pessimistic and have thoughts of hell? If we make an effort to realize God in this lifetime, we are sure to go to a better place.
"As one sows so shall one reap". It is better to make efforts to get closer to God. But one thing is for sure, if we are going to go about our life with thoughts of only ourselves and our worldly pleasures, then even God cannot help us. God has put us on earth to progress spiritually but we are squandering away this gift of life by over-indulging ourselves in worldly pleasure. Perhaps this website would be able to give you a better idea of Hell, sufferings in hell etc http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritualresearch/spiritualscience/afterdeath/meetingancestors.php -

OOhhh look, surprise
hhmm am i prophetic ha ha ha. nope.
"As one sows so shall one reap".
This is so true although sometimes it is the easiest to forget because lifes hard times can take away so much hope it clouds your vision and can almost point you directly towards spite revenge and bitterness. such a shame. Pray for guidance to keep this in mind at all times.
