assuming global warming blows over and we arent all nuked by terrorists, where do you think we will be in the next 1000 years?
-
on earth
-
funny
-
-
I thought it was kinda clever...
-
-
lol i set myself up for that 1
-
-
yes, yes you did.
-
-
We would be...IN THE FUTURE!!!
-
To the stars and beyond.
-
-
which stars??
-
-
You pick one, I'll pick another.
-
-
well depending on which star you pick will determine quite a bit. did you know if you travelled from earth to the sun, going 100km/h, your grandson wouldnt live to arrive there?

Cryogenics.
When we master this we can go anywhere, regardless of distance.
We can already freeze sperm and embryos.
Have a look here.

Mankind is headed to cannibalism. That'd be a funny war to watch.
-
-
We have already seen in history where people have resorted to cannabalism in crisis. Jesus that the soon coming tribulation will be much worse than anything before so we shouldn't expect less.
-
-
I dont know whats much worse than cannibalism.
-
-
if it keeps you alive, i dont see what would be so bad
-
-
I meant in the sense of desperation. You'd have to be pretty desperate for food to eat someone.
-
-
If you consider the atrocities man has committed to man throughout history, it just breaks your heart, and it will get worse. I recommend that you look through Fox's Book of Martyrs to see how Christians were killed in the most horrendous ways, and still it will be worse than these.
-
-
Alternatively you can look at things like the Spanish Inquisition and Salem Witch trials and KKK to see the horrendous things Christians killed. Mankind in general has done and will do some pretty awful things.
But on the plus side, we're not all completely bad! -
-
Didn't mean to imply Christian piety. Was only trying to point out man's inhumanity to man.
-
-
Apologies.

So, where ARE we going, and what's with this handbasket?
-
-
handbasket?
-
-
Anyone want to help Gaz with this?
-
-
How about you mud?
You made the comment. -
-
There is (was) a very common comment that folks would say when they saw something disturbing. That comment is "We are going to hell in a handbasket."
-
I've googled the phrase and it appears to be a US phrase which would explain why I had no clue what it meant.
Thanks for the explanation mud.

Are we all going to fit this handbasket or is it only for the really bad? Id like to check the list...
-
-
You could be the steward at the top of the gangplank to check the list as they board. ;-)
-
-
Yess...I wonder if I can alter the list a bit...

Well, about going to hell, what God says about it, the people that don't except his gift and get saved by him, by excepting that the fact is Jesus died for us, is the ones that's going. The one that is excepted in to his ranks, and saved by him will be rejoycing in heaven
Sorry, if that offended anyone, it's what the bible says, I just summarized it. Read it if you want prove.
To where mankind is head to, is a age of terorism, and a age of war, and very heavy sin. Many will die, and there shall lie another world war. The destruction of this earth almost destorying it. Then, the seven years of peace, then one unsettled man will start another war age of terror. Then God shall come, and end that age, and take all his men to heaven. The rest he will let lie to parish.
Sorry if that too offended anyone, just read the last of the Bible, It's God's words again. -
-
this age of terrorism is no closer now than it was 1000 years ago.
yes the twin towers was tragic, but it is a mere pebble in a river bed compared to the (example) rwandian genocide. 9/11 was terrifying because everyone saw it, not because a lot of people died.

in a thousand years
Who knows it could be that the thousand years of peace might be seen then.Or the who end of days things is a bunch of hoopla.Y2K didn't kill us and i don't seen the rivers turning to blood or the moon for that matter.
