many people use chess as a metaphor for life and/or the people in our lives (ex. thinkers are knights because they can leap over other players (ie leaps in technology) the queen (military) ect ect.
But there is consistant debate on who the king is.
the question is:
who do you think it is and why? -
the spoiled
he is the rich kid that dosen't hardly do anythign as in the way he moves one space but he can do w/e he wants so he moves in all directions and all the fighting is over once the brat gets pumbled -
The king represents the player as ruler of his life. He controls his domain and his subjects, who do his bidding. Questions, is your ability as a king a metaphor for your ability to rule your actual life? If you lose quickly or give up, is that representative of your actual life's traits? If you study to become a better player does it reflect on your studiousness in real life? Chess, like life, are challenging games. Are you up to it?

if you figure it out, IM me
interesting, but i think your view is a little off. you are thinking that the king is the player.
the king is something that needs to be protected no matter what. the survival of our (for example) nation, is not balanced on one person.
in saying so, i believe that i am a knight. i like to tackle things from all angles, not dead on as a rooke would (also known as a castle). i, personally, am not important for survival. but the king is. -

If the king is just another piece, then we as players are gods.

the player is not the concern. think of it this way, what person/people would you be most willing to die for?
again, if you get the answer, IM me please! -
-
God was willing to die for all of us.
