what kind of religion doesn't think it's right? if a religion doesn't think it's right, what kind of promises can it make, what civilization will it create and whom shall it civilize?

This is definantly a point to ponder, one which has bothered me most of my life, for even though there are converts , it is far from the norm, most people live and die believing in the God they were raiseed to believe in, and generaly rather fervently, if this were nnot the case there would be far fewer wars over beliefs. I know there is a God, reason and observation tell me there is. But who is he,. I mostly make that call by my upbringing, what is his nature?...the same, and study of the book that represents that God. The rational question then remains, how do we determine his nature. Although the concept of eternity is to large for man to grasp, so is the cocept of absolute non existance of anything no space and no place for space to exist. Something is eternal, something is everylasting, something decided to begin creation ......but what? it wasnt chemicals that spang from nothing into existance to start reacting one with another because they could not simply exist eternaly, there was no big bang with nothing to bang from, who or what created that something, if that was indeed the method.

They all are. The truth is all around. Don't know if you've ever read it, but here is a link to the Pistis Sophia. May it bring you greater knowledge and understanding in your studies.

The idea is to study them all. The godself in you will point out the truths and falsities if you read with an open heart. Seek and ye shall find.

Being honest with yourself and listening to Gods Truth is about the best i can find. Religion created by man has too many flaws an causes people to divide. How can people disagree with the True moral code.

as much as I'd like it to be the case, honesty does not lead to truth all the time. in regards to the true moral code, it is not the people that disagree with it, it is the plenitude of life itself, the quintillions of situations and the infinity of free decisions.

People complicate life by lying to themselves. Sometimes denying the Truth is easier than accepting it.

to a relativist. I would posit absolutes. But the latter is inaccessible, leaving us with the relativist perspective.

yes and what complicates things to the point of absurdity is it also a statement of faith.
i need no facts to make this statement just my belief. if i find myself being swayed by fact i must dig my heels in all the more or i will be judged lacking in faith by my peers.

Judgement by peers is of concern only to the sociably weak. A lack of faith ultimately leads to a judgement by God, or alternatively, the mental self.

Faith is based on prevailing hopes or instructed dedications. A faith in the conviction of dystheism is hardfound in the world due to one's deterence of such ideas and concepts. One does not want to put their hopes in defeatism. Thus, faith is not about accepting the defeatist truth. It is about rising above such convictions and instilling in onself the resolve and determination of belief; where should we recieve, hypothetically, the ultimatum that there is a 99.9% chance that God is evil and we all get tortured by a malevolent being upon our deaths, and a 0.1% chance that He is benevolent, we place faith in the latter. Why? Because we see the rational observation of hopelessness, but remain steadfast in the hope of salvation.

As Kierkegaard stated, if he were to find himself the only person in hell upon the day of judgement and banished to a damned eternity, he would shout of the glory of God and sing praises to Him for ever more. Faith is a steadfastness in hope.

your definition only works if you are right and as we all know i am right 100% of the time. (that too is a matter of faith)

No it doesn't. Dystheism may well be the reality of our existence, yet we don't choose to dedicate ourselves to the hope and ideal, nor do we recieve re-assurance and empowerment through it.

Hope is beside supposed percieved reality. Your mental state creates its own reality. You are what you believe.
