please help save manny
The government wants to deport out friend Emmanuel to Nigeria. A snatch squad removed him from his home in Plymouth at 4.30 in the morning last Wednesday. He’s now being held in a detention centre at Yarl’s Wood. If he’s sent back to Nigeria, he will be in grave danger, and may die. He suffers from sickle cell anaemia and his father has already made death threats against Emmanuel, his mother, and his five brothers and sisters: Mac, Winston, Theresa, Fred and Richard.
We have set up a campaign group. We are all teenagers. We’ve been told we can’t make a difference – but we have. Yesterday we were told “to get back to our Playstations and stop playing politics”. But we have lobbied our MP and refugee bodies, and they have secured a three week reprieve for Emmanuel: they were initially going to fly him out today.
We’ve already got stories in the local paper and nationally in The Independent. We’re planning action on all fronts. We don’t care what we do to save our friend.
Join with us, now. Join our group. We want thousands of names signed up to our campaign by Monday. We have to raise awareness of this situation. We have to save Emmanuel and his family, and we want to prove that we have real power.

if emmanuel is indeed in danger of death if he returns, he can claim amnesty. of course, unless he is thought to be a terrorist, good luck...
