Ha thanks Kaz
yeah we are all in the game, you should take it seriously though your only here once.
-
In my limited experience for something to qualify as a Game , three things must be present, opertunity to win, possibility to loose, and a clear and concise objective to be accomplished.
Perhaps "it" need to be defined more clearly, surely life is not being refered to as life fails to meet the criteria -
Life is the game, yes.
-
What is a Game anyhow? Wittgenstein (I think) attempted to define this but then failed-- and came across some ideas that were similar to contemporary Prototype Theory. Another similar quote I like, but can't really explain well, is Wilde's: "Life is too important to take seriously."
-
Just some points.....
Wittgenstein's point was that we all understand what a game is...but it is nevertheless hard to define....as there are many different aspects to a game..and they don't all have the same things in common..contrary to defining for example a triangle.....so in my opinion, Wittgenstein did not fail here...other than that......I'd want to ask Auxiliar why he uses the heading...Faith vs Reason and Logic...in my opinion these do not necessarily contradict each other, and really isn't this heading itself up for debate? -
Yes,yes and yes
I do believe the point of all this is pure debate -
A game is
something that isn't real. I have heard it said that self observation is the only "real" game in town. The "self" being the un-real aspect and the observation of it a process TOWARD reality. -
Life is a game, but only because those in power made it a game for themselves to win. They will win, we will lose. That is the game.
