WHAT WE GET FROM SCRIPUTERS ARE GUIDELINES NOT FORMULAS

First, I believe in scriptural based success.

What you in fact call laws of success, the scriptures themselves do not call them laws. There is nowhere in the scriptures, written “laws of success”. Since success is universal, it follows that laws of success should not only apply to certain other people. Just like laws of motion by Isaac Newton, laws of success should be universal. Meaning, violating them would make success impossible by anybody, which is true for all universal laws. The fact that there are successful people who are pagans is a clear testimony that they are not real laws because universal laws do not discriminate. Laws of success like laws of motion ought to be universal. It therefore means that these so-called laws of success are purely man made.

Success formula, if it there, it should be straightforward like other formulas and should lead to an answer. However, this seems not to be the case in life. Success is achievable, but it is not straightforward. Many variables are at play. It therefore means what we get from scriptures are guidelines to success and not formulas

to first have a "formula" for success, you first have to know what success means to the person? being rich? I personally think not.

to me, success is helping people. when they need it. i have always felt more pride in myself when i have adverted a tragedy than i have when i get a paycheck.

so here is what i think could be some guidelines to success

    1) treat others as you would wish to be treated (yes, your mother was right all those years ago)
    2) If someone needs help, help, even if it kills you. (you may not save them but atleast you wouldnt have to live with the fact that you COULD had done something)
    3) this one is simple, do what you love to do! there is no sense in doing something you hate.
    4) follow your insticts. dont rely on what other people tell you. make your own descions and your own mistakes. living your life is so much better than living someone elses.

If you cant learn from the mistakes of others , your life will be so much more disasterous, sometimes its better to listen and learn than to do and pay

what i meant about making your own mistakes is not to follow blindly. if we learned from everyones mistakes, we wouldnt learn anything.

We would see the results that they incurred and not follow foolishly in the same path. The definition os insanity is reapeting the same action over and over each time expecting a different outcome. "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repete it." (That wasnt mine , but it does hold true)

so true, but actually experiencing a mistake sometimes teaches us more about ourselves and the world. we could have learned that this was coming from the past and avoided the experience but that doesnt teach us anything.

I see both your points. You can easily learn from watching others, and it amplifies progress greatly.

However, there are some lessons that need to be learned just by living it. The easiest example would be "first loves" and all that.

True, but even the aspect of falling in love for the first (and only) time cannot be entirely told. It's something that you need to experience to truly understand. Though in most cases, as needs to be learned, you'll hype it up to be something greater than it is.

This is probably the easist question on this whole darn site to answer. "Through faith, all things are possible." Or, "Ask, and ye shall receive." Basically, just as you perceive it is how it shall come to pass. If a man believes he is destined for greatness, the sheer faith in that is what brings his greatness. If a man feels he will never go anywhere, he won't. We only make ourselves suffer by how we choose to perceive our world. If you choose to see only the positive in every situation, then that's all you will reap. But if you dwell on negativity, worry and doubt, which is nothing more than a lack of faith, life will be hard because you've asked it to be. Have absolute faith in your success (whether it be financial or other) and you will acquire it. It is only because you do not believe that you do not receive.
