I have looked at this quote many times and I have thought long and hard about it. In doing so I have appied it to a few present day problems.
African American acceptance: it has taken a few generations but we have come to realize that people are equal, no matter our differences in colour and in a few more generations, racial hate will be a thing of the past.
Woman Suffrage: Now we except they are equal, and have very few people who think differently.
So now the question is: If we already know the answer to the question, why can people not except the fact that one day they will be the same as a homosexual person? Are people using and falling for the rule above? Do you even think the rule is a true rule of life?

i'm the first to leave an opinion...i've never been the first...anyway...i think it's the same process, to get everyone, or atleast the vast majority, to agree on a certain opinion, inter-racial equality, woman suffrage, etc...it all just takes a few generations, and i'm pretty damn confident that in a couple generations homosexuals will be considered equal...and there will be some other 'group' that's considered wrong and different and will be discriminated...it's a cycle

I think the person quoting the quote found himself stupid at some point in life and projected it out to the masses.

The quaote is right for "the crowd". Most people will belive almost anything, others, I think the ones that have a strong will, will not easely belive anything. And I agree with the previous poster, the beliving that something is wrong and then changing of peoples' minds is a cycle.

"homosexuality is not a necessary or dare I say a 'natural' function of life." Who said so? For one thing, there have been so many cases of homosexuality recorded in the animal domain and animals don't have a conscience. Are you saying animals are unnatural?March 22, 2006
