Human Nature

What is it about our nature that makes us fear not finding love? For example, all of these chain letters that are floating around the internet, why are people terrified of the idea that a little paragraph can drastically change their life? I supoose what I'm asking is: What is wrong with us?

  • Over Population

Consider this, there are too many humans on this earth, and no matter if you believe there's a god or not, it's a problem. If we all share a single soul, that of god's, then the problem is that we're being stretched to thin. But in the case of not believing in god, it's just the fact we've gone against nature itself in order to serve us. What am I trying to say? Well, over population gives us less meaning in life, we aren't so special, so we have to pretend to be, to some it's finding love, to others it's eating. We desperately want to be special, we've become unoriginal.

  • Stupid Humans

People are stupid; given the proper motivation, almost anyone, will believe almost anything.” - Terry Goodkind

I think that pretty much explains it.

  • A Fear In Itself

I believe in some of what shubs says. That we are terrified that we won't find anyone, find a true love. Many believe in a soul mate for that reason, that there IS someone special out there that is MEANT to be with. Perhaps it's true, or perhaps it was just said because we're afraid if we don't find someone we will be so lonely and the fear of lonleyness kills us inside.
