In the world where thin is beautiful, less clothes the better and sex rules, avoiding the media opinion, as a avarage person, what do you find beautiful.

beauty depends on culture33% Voted for by 5th position Gb, ohsweetie2788, holloweyed, sinful-cinnamon, Frail Braid. (9 total)
During the middle ages and renaissance the beautiful woman was the plump and pale woman. Being plump and pale during those times meant that you were 1) well-fed and 2) not forced to work out in the fields. In China, during the Qing Dynasty, people thought that women with infant-sized feet were beautiful because women with feel that were basically forced to be that size (through breaking the foot), couldn't move around a lot. In Africa, scarrification, where you intentionally scar your body, is considered beautiful. In other parts of Africa, a woman with extreme curves and very broad hips is considered attractive.
In America, thin is a symbol of health and, more importantly, a symbol of being able to afford a trainer or a plan at the weight club. Similarly, a tan means that you have money to go out to the beach often and tan yourself.
I personally think that beauty, like sex appeal, is a function of attitude. If you carry yourself knowing that you are beautiful then others will percieve you as beautiful.

actions or gestures can be attractive also14% Voted for by Energizer Bunny, Applehead, Weydon, Dwn.

Quite honestly, I've seen certain actions or gestures by people when offered from the heart that was just as attractive to me as facial beauty itself. it can be something as simple as a kiss on the cheek or someone going out of their way to do something for you. -

at a party resently, fancy dress was the theme, this was defined by the girls there as, wear as little as possible. i.e literally their bra and panties. three girls, wearing lace panties and lace bras, aged just 14, were dancing on a table, surrounded by boys. one of the for mentioned girls was then seen been lead to a bedroom with a male, whom, upon letting his tongue leave her mouth, said, sorry, whats your name again? Do these girls, really think that they look good, and are attracting nice guys, to me, if your even going to put your mouth on someone elses, you should at least know their name. the ratio at this party was 1 girl to 9 guys. and trust me, this was going on. will people grow out of this when they get older, or are we just growing a nation of sluts?

I don't know anymore.Voted for by Pleading Artichoke.
I used to think that a nice person was all I needed, then I though I just needed someone to love me, later I started to thing that they needed to love me and to be stronger than me, but now I know that I cannot define who I think is attractive, and I just have to wait till I find examples.

Certain characteristicsThere are certain physical characteristics that I have observed that people who are considered beautiful have. Among them are well-defined jaw lines, prominent cheek bones, a face that narrows towards the front as opposed to being flat, and curvy hips (for women. Maybe this is mainly the American standard of beauty, but these are the results of my analyzing observations.Voted for by OrangeMoon.

HealthA strong, healthy human is as beautiful as it gets. Without starvation, steroids, or Burger King and McDonald's. Someone who has a purpose and knows who he/she is. Someone who is not afraid to defy tradition. Someone that knows what they want.Voted for by RebelRebel.

different people are attracted to different things regardless of their backgroundsVoted for by a forgotten flower.
Everyone on this earth has different opinions on what is or is not attractive. Culture does play a small part in this, but at the same time we all are our own persons and we all have are own thoughts on what makes someone beautiful. A great example would be homosexuality. Gays have gone against the grain in their culture and been attracted to people of the same sex even though it was thought inacceptable. It really just depends on what kind of person you are, and finding someone that appeals to you sexually or mentally.
