since there doesn't seem to be enough proof that aliens don't exist. How important is the proof of aliens to society? At what expense. Should we spend millions to discover other life forms? I think so if there is enough benefit to people. For instance if we discovered an existence on Mars that would further directly benefit earth like a new organism that would enhance our lives. I saw an object in the sky and now I think that object was ball lighting. Ball lighting is an interesting phenomenan and for more information do a search on ball lighting. A very interesting topic and might support some kind of alien existence I think.

In this big universe, I don't see how it would be possible that this planet could be the only one with intelligent life (or unintelligent, for extraterrestrial bacteria or plants).
