So, I was thinking about this... could he have been schizophrenic. He believed to be Gods son. He believed he had a lot of power, I think.

In Jesus time, people didn't know about mental illness, they were posessed by the devil if they were shown to have any weird behaviour, but these days, If some guy came alone claiming he was the son of "god" he'd be carted away, and people have already claimed to be this, in resent times, sure, some were really unstable, but what if we sent the real Jesus to an institution, Think his all powerful lord could get himself out of that one?

I do think that if you approach it in a non Christian and medical way you may have a point, but I also think you take a great risk by posting such a point. It only pisses people off.

if he was a loony....Voted for by NeferMaatNetjer.
This is an interesting debate. Was Jesus really the Son of God, or just a well intentioned crazy? well, lets look at the testaments
According to eyewitnesses, Jesus changed water into wine. He also healed lepers, gave sight to the blind, made cripples well, and brought dead people back to life. if these were the acts of a schizophrenic, then ALL of those who witnessed these event would have had to have been schizophrenic themselves to have seen what they saw.
Jesus also demonstrated incredible wisdom in dealing with those bent on dicrediting him, As well as in general; "Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasars" "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" "he who looks at a woman lustfully has already commited adultery with her in his heart" "love god, with all thy heart, and thy soul, and thy mind, and love thy neighbor as thyself"
words of a lunatic? I wish I were blessed with such reason.
so, if Jesus were schizophrenic, so were all of his followers, as well as all those who bore withness to the events of his life.
If Jesus was crazy, who in the world is sane?

maybei dunno, i think it could be true. its possible jesus could have some sort of mental disorder prolly not paranoid skitzo, but like scizoaffective or sum else i dunno. just cuz someone is schizophrenic, doesn't mean they're "loony", read up on it. plus we dont kmow what ppl(eyewitnesses) were like back then, they all were prolly a lil messed in the head compared to our times. shit, like that was a heck of a long time ago. but wht do i know, im just a 17 yr old tht came across this pageVoted for by INEEDmyDANK.

Jesus was very sure of himself in-the-world
Jesus had complete certainty of his relationship with 'the father', so much so that his final three years of life led up to his crucifixion for the sake of other rather than for-himself. It is malapropos to consider his conduct inconsistent or irrational. Some people are trying to get rid of the term 'scherzoophrenic' in the medical lexicon because it is a too-powerful perjorative club without accuracy. It is a sort of nuclear bomb method of policing diagnostic labeling.
Jesus was the Son of God, and the metaphysics of that are difficult for many to comprehend. Try reading the Enneads of Plotinus for a lead in into the protocol of God in emanating a universe such as this one.
