This quote mostly has to do with fate. How the tiniest things can cause such huge problems or huge reactions in some way.

Whats that thingVoted for by externalalias.
A song was written by some one called Tanya Donnely called the butterfly thing. "Whats that thing, about a butterfly wing, Causing a typhoon" I have translated the song to mean that, yes, the tinyest thing can cause havoc, and change everything, but it also means that we cannot spend our lives thinking about, what about love? Should we stop loving someone if it wll have an effect on the lampshade? Ok, bad example, but you get my point? Ur right silent voice, by the way. Alias x

Holds True With Other Things As Well...Voted for by VitreousSoul.
This quote holds true with other things as well. Example, the time travel theory, and the theory of destruction because of time travel. (If you don't know either that I am talking about I mean: The theory is that is you go back in time and change even the smallest thing, like a grain of sand, it could in turn bring about a chain of events that either end the world or change the entire progression of mankind. [Little extream of an example I know, but you get the idea.])

good quoteVoted for by Kazrith.
i would say that that is an inspiring quote. think about it, it is saying that something so small can make a large scale difference!

I thinkVoted for by B00tleg.
I think the quote is about how our every action have their own consequences, especially the circumstances we aren't aware of.

IN MY OPINIONVoted for by a new beginning.
YOU CAN PUT EITHER A NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE SPIN ON THIS. IN A POSITIVE LIGHT JUST ONE ACT CAN CAUSE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. JUST AS ONE NEGATIVE ACTION CAN CAUSE CHAOS AND CALAMITY FOR ALL.

No thats completely and totally false, a tiny drop does not have enough force, power, or whatever scientific terms about water that can cause a tsunami, to make one. Simple as that. But sure its a small part of the reason, although theres is not only one reason, but many that will cause the tsunami in the end. MANY. Humans arent all knowing enough or old enough to know all of the reasons and causes of the tsunami in the end. (although that was very little, take it metophorically to the whole idea and human thinking on the subject of fate)

ImpossibleVoted for by Thane Thonrdike.
A tiny drop in a huge ocean can cause a tsunami? well, I think that's quite impossible... unless the real perception of a huge ocean is a glass of water, and the tiny drop is drop of hail...
