  • He is thinking that..

What Bush thinks he is doing is helping America. He may not be right in the thought, but that is what he is most likely thinking. He thinks his way is the right one. He has his own opinions and to his ignorant mind he finds his way of running America a way to help it. (Though that does not stop me from disliking him and his ideas.) He is just like almost everyone else, he thinks his ideas are the right ones, the ones that will make this country a country to be proud of.(Unlike now where no matter how hard I try I can be proud of this country. I don’t know about you.) Anyway, he is just like every other politic, he just makes stupid decisions to some of you and ot me.

Grr! I am fairly naieve in the ways of Politics, but from what I understand George W. Bush seems to be a silly little man. I read about the Kyoto Treaty… and I must say that he gives American’s a bad name. (Of course we participate in achieving that bad name, but he isn’t helping matters) He made a very selfish move when he declined to sign the treaty. His opinion was “It will help in the long run but I don’t want to ruin our economy while I’m president.” He doesn’t seem to grasp the knowledge that right here and now isn’t all thats important and/or relevent. He isn’t planning for our children, our children’s children and so forth. He sees all the sabotage of our planet…. yes, he sees it, but he just pretend like it doesn’t exist. Its just moronic. Of course I am merely a 15 year old girl with a biased opinion, and not too many facts to back up anything I say… so please, no offense was meant! Always, Katy

  • Middle America

It makes me sit back and wonder, what the hell is our freedom? Sure we have the right to vote, but it seems as of late we end up with a man that is so wet behind the ears that he needs to holds daddy’s hand to run this country. Without his father at his side, he sees this country as a huge game board and w are all the pawns. He wilfully puts our men and women on the front line, just so he can look like some big shot. They too have families that love them and would like them back alive, in one piece, instead of having their family members going to a morgue to identify them, or worse yet, receive a military man at the door stating they are dead. As far as I can see, all George W. Bush wants to do, is not run this country with pride and honor, he wants to cause fights, pressure others, and make wars that kill masses of the innocent. He had the balls to go to congress to ask for trillion more dollars to continue his game playing.

Men and women all over this nation, as well as the world, work their asses off for completely nothing. In the United States, many middle Americans work tirelessly, giving up vacations, family time, sick days, and days off. Many companies and corporations say that they are for the family man/woman, and will bend with them in all they can do, when what they are really saying is to hell with the ones at home, you are married to me now and I want all your time and money. Everything looks good on paper, till you read the fine print. Goddess forbid if a single parent actually had a emergency at home and had to take time off, that is a no no and usually the worker is frowned down upon, all just to put more money in that employers pocket so they might have a grander car, and a bigger house.
The picture perfect family is a house with a white picket fence, parents without worries, 2 kids, a boy and girl, one dog and one cat. When the reality in most homes is a home with 2-3 kids, parents worried how they will make it to next week and put food on the table, while getting all the odds and end their kids need. A lot of people may look at my thoughts and say, 'well you did bring it upon yourselves' I say you are dead wrong. Sure, there are ways we in middle America could make adjustments here and there to make the little bit of dollar that Uncle Sam does not steal from us, stretch, but when you have a jackass in office running this country of ours, destroying basically a entire country in war, then spending the money to fix it up, or feeding third world children, when we have out own homeless children starving and dying in the streets, hell yeah it pisses me off. I am a mother of 4 and will see no child go without, do not get me wrong there, but we do have our own country to deal with and people to help, without being a damned show off for the rest of the world, while under command of a idiot that don't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

Thank you for taking the time to read my rants, and for all of you that give a damn to make this country better and for all of those around the world that actually give a damn about bettering themselves and where they live, I loudly applaud you!

  • Kyoto was a Bad Idea Anyway

Bush was right not to sign the Kyoto Accord. Kyoto will not be able to achieve any of the goals that it set out to achieve. A fundamental flaw in it is that it assumes that government regulation will solve pollution problems. Pollution problems have to be solved by self-regulation.

  • When he's right he's right, when he's wrong he's wrong

As far as the war on terror I am right with him, People have to understand that alqita has put a contract out on four million American lives. Fanatical Muslims have vowed to kill our people. as many as they can kill. I don't think that you want to be in a mass grave or to see any of your friends and family to suffer that fate. Of course I may be wrong. The left wing news will not tell you about all the great things that are happening in Iraq right now. More people than ever have electricity the have a blossoming economy and the are really getting used to this freedom thing. and also that most of the troops that die are just bystanders of attacks on the Iraqi people. The terrorists are blowing up as many free Iraqis as they can in the name of Alla. we cannot leave or even set a date to leave until the people of Iraq can defend themselves. As for why we are in Iraq there are several reasons. 1. Saddam Hussein failed to allow weapons inspectors to come in and see a dismantled nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons program. 2. Saddam Hussein used funds from the oil for food scandal that you hear about in the news as major contributor to the funds that the terrorists used to perpetrate the 911 attacks (911 commission report) Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and we did find them canisters of sarin gas and missiles leaking biological agents. as a matter of fact several service men and women are coming back from Iraq with symptoms directly related to the chemicals that the handled in these bunkers. The bunker that John Kerry mentioned in the debates and his campaign was filled with these weapons so he freely admitted that they existed. the bunker in question was emptied a week before we invaded Iraq so the only way we would have been able to confiscate them is if we had gone in earlier. now let me get out the things I can't stand about him. gays are Americans too. most are religious and most are major contributors to our economy. what that means is that all people in this country have constitutional rights. The constitution and the bill of rights sets down a list of rules that the government has to abide by. a list of things that the government can not do. Nowhere in the bill of rights is any mention of what the people can and can't do. This document that was created by our forefathers is a contract that has endured time. It is nonnegotiable. The bill that he is proposing to ban gay marriage is a matter of semantics and is a direct contradiction to the constitution it's self. I wonder sometimes if he has even read it. The patriot act also is a direct contradiction to the rights laid out in the constitution. The formation of the TSA and Homeland security has put this country in major debt, and the immigration policy puts a financial strain on our economy. there are 11 million illegal immigrants in our country all sending money back to Mexico upwards of 200 million dollars a year. 11 million jobs would curb our unemployment rate. His brilliant plan to allow outsourcing of jobs also contributes to our troubled economy. over ten thousand Arabs. a majority of which were known terrorists and serbian rebels, and also a considerable number of Chinese nationals have been caught trying to enter through Mexico, yet GW maintains that the minute men are nothing but vigilantes and thugs. we need to secure our borders yet GW maintains there isn't a problem.

Military operations in Iraq are giving me a headache. as a former marine I know that the only way to win a battle is to push through and advance on the enemy. People in this country are comparing this war to Vietnam. I see a trend that is making this comparison true. The media is causing the death of our troops just as in Vietnam and causing descent in the American people, and undermining the morale of our troops. If the media would use responsible journalism and bolster American confidence and print both the good and the truth the body counts would be less than they are. many troops call family friends and radio shows talking about the mistruths and flat out lies of the media. they go on missions with embedded journalists and then see journalists saying things that either didn't happen or taken completely out of context. Without the morale of our troops people die. War is hell. It's not a pretty thing and the ultimate decision lies with the president whether the military runs a war or the media. for example the guantanamo bay debacle. The media comes in to do an interview with terrorist leaders. the terrorist leaders tell them that they are being torchered an that they are being subjected to naked women and that the Koran is being flushed down the toilet and disrespected. Without talking to the military personnel or leaders they print their "findings" What the media didn't know is that the terrorist hand book lays out things to say to get Muslim support. one is that the koran is being disrespected. The other is that they are being torched. The flushing incident never happened. The naked girl thing is bogus. you have to realize that any woman that is not in their traditional religious garb is considered naked. The troops don't get to pick their battles. and they must follow orders otherwise the military would never get a mission accomplished. The military protects our freedom and that is what they are doing. they also protect and spreads freedom abroad which is what they are doing. It is the duty of every American to question the authority in this country, but never dis the men and women that Give their lives to keep YOU free. Never get the idea in your head that freedom is free or it is deserved. we must fight for freedom and keep fighting until everyone is free. In this country too often we take our freedom for granted and that is a dangerous attitude to have.

  • He doesn't think

He considers himself a spiritual man although he has expressed an incompetence to explain this spirituality. He was chosen by the neoconservatives and large business to be their front man because he can communicate the talking points that are understood by the religious right. As we found out in November the religious right is a massive voting block.

    Neo-cons:

Neoconservatism is a philosophy that was created by a guy named Leo Straus. He had a small following and little influence until one of his students name Irving Crystal was able to circulate the idea amongst the influential. Most of you probably don’t know Irving but you may know his son William Crystal. William is the editor of “The weekly standard” and correspondent for the political cartoon network Fox news and a hardcore Neo-con.

    The Philosophy:

The idea is that independent freedom is bad for a nation because the independent mind does not work for the good of the many. The Neo-cons viewed the 60’s as an example of how independent freedom is disruptive to a nation (forget the rights of women and minorities that were earned in that era). They only see what is disruptive to the system. Another example is the Clinton administration. If you remember the biggest crisis was adultery, which is no national crisis at all. Under these circumstances there was no national unity and the people of America went about their own business without major political opinion or guidance. During the election between Bush and Gore many people saw little difference between the two. There was little reason to stand behind either of them because there was nothing that “needed” to be done.

    The Plan:

The way to keep people from exploring their independent freedoms and ideas is to always be in a state of crisis. How can you explore the universe when the vary foundation of your reality is under attack. These same Neo-cons who are in power today were in power in the 80’s. They convinced Reagan of all kinds of made up crises from the Middle East to South America and even Russia. Remember how scared you were of the Red threat just to have it crumble under it’s own flawed economic system. Wow big threat there. But it was enough to unite the nation under fear and control.

    Iraq:

Iraq is more made up crisis lets examine the reasons. Iraq has weapons of mass destruction after 10 years of weapons inspections. No of course not. Not only are there no weapons in Iraq there was no reason to think there was. Next links to Al Qaeda some how Saddam was involved in 911 with Bin Laden. No of course not it’s simply more Neo-con scare tactics. OK well Sadam is a bad man and we need to get him. That’s a weak case for war when America helped Sadam conduct his atrocities in the 80’s. If Sadam is guilty so is America. What American was helping Sadam why none other than our current secretary of defense Mr. Rumsfeld. The latest reason to continue the war crisis is to force Democracy on cultures that don’t even know what that is.

So how is this crisis plan going for the Neo-cons?

Not so good only 51% of Americans are supporting the Neo-cons eternal crisis philosophy. According to the Neo-con if all the people are not on board the answer is simple. More crises is needed and more crisis will be provoked until everyone in America is willing to do exactly what the government wants them too. Right now what the American government wants is unquestioned authority.

911 was a gift from Osama Bin Laden to the Neo-cons. The Neo-cons returned the favor by making room for atrocities in Iraq like check point murders and torture. This by design enrages the Muslim community (of course) creating more recruits for Bin Laden. Thus the crisis perpetuates itself.

    So what can you do?

Simply refuse to participate. Do not engage in Bushes campaign of senseless killing and occupation. When your children are encouraged to join the military advise them not to. The behavior of the military is disgraceful and will continue to be until it has authentic leadership. Not this simpleton puppet that thinks he was sent by God to create a unified planet under his spirituality in which he himself has no understanding of.

Next buy locally. It’s the national and multinational businesses that are in control of America because of how Capitalism works. They have the strongest voice and control. By choosing to purchase locally you won’t be taking money from big business you simply won’t be giving them any more. This will create a more even political playing field in which more people will have more voice. You know something like Democracy.

I apologize for all the wind but a long question deserves a long response.

  • Guess What?

You hear so many people complaining about, 'Oh, George Bush is such an idiot!' or 'George Bush is going to kill us all!' But guess what? The majority of America voted for him, twice, because they believed he was going to do/was doing a good job. And not everything that goes on in the country is dictated by him. Sure, he officially declared the war in Iraq, but Congress had full power to stop him. Did they? No, because enough of them agreed with him. If our country is really being run into the ground(which it isn't, at least in a short-term view), than it isn't just George Bush's fault.
