Fate: What is it? Does it exist?

Basically do you believe in fate? If you do I want your opinions! If you don't I still want your opinions! I want your reasons why or why not you believe in Fate!

    yes I personally believe in fate! Because I often have a lot of days(bad days) when it felt that everything was planed against me!!!! Everything just kept going wrong! I have also had days when things kept going right! And they seemed almost planned so fate cannot be so bad!

    Fate... Hmm... About two years ago I met a guy who I still like very much. Fate? Today I learned how to play a song on my guitar. fate? So my answer is 50% your will/50% your fate. Fate is what happens around you, what you do with what is given to you makes up the other 50%. In fact, you probobly chose your fate. There are many ends to our lifes, you chose them and by your choices they are written. Things you did long ago affect you today and that is what you call fate. But in fact this made me confused, the more I think the more confused i become and the more holes I have in my theory. i'll think on this and come back some other time.

    this is the strangest references, but in the movie the matrix neo is asked if he believes in fate, and neo says no he doesn't like the idea that he can't control his life. I agree with that notion, I don't know, it jsut makes sense to me. ♥Kate

  • It's Fate

    I believe in fate. But I also believe you can control your life. It's not what you think..see. Fate is not that your life is going to end out HOW IT IS PLANNED. It isn't planned out. It is how it's to be. Fate is what we are...what we make of ourselves everyday. How everything is. I'm a strong believer in fate. Things happen for reasons. No matter if you never find out those reasons. There is always one behind everything. Maybe to make you think a certain thing, revelations, actions. We are who we become. Fate just takes us there. We make our fate. Though you don't know it. And as long as you believe, and you strive on for whatever it is, even if you don't know what it is yet. That is fate. You becoming who you are meant to be. And for that we should be thankful. Fate doesn't ALWAYS control our lives, we don't know it sometimes. But these bad things that happen to us, happens, to move us along.
