Fear of the unknown100% Voted for by TheParkingMeter, sagespirit23.
Not all are afraid of dying. I have almost died a few times... but overall I am happy with my life, but if i were to die, i wouldnt be afraid. It is all a part of life.
but people are probably afraid of dying because they dont know what will happen. People fear the unknown. Eventually everybodies time will come and they will have to deal with what fate has in store for them.

indeed
i agree with that comment. though it might just be because so many people believe in life after death that statistically you have to have a lot of them fear death.frndofyaweh

Fearing physical death
Well for me, the death part is not so bad. It's the pain part that I could do without. I do not fear physical death, becuase scientifically speaking; I am energy or spirit.....[B]yes I am a believer in Christ.[B\] I have seen friends go and go peacefully and or unafraid. Of course, just as the Bible teaches us; the physical human is weak and peaceful and fearless can be a rare thing to actually see in ourselves. EDIT: We never really know the answer, until we actually face such an ordeal and there are so many ways to face death. The circumstances surrounding our deaths, may produce different thoughts, feelings or reaction from us.June 28, 2006

A lot of people think like Fry in the TV Show
Did anyone use to watch that hilarious show called Futurama? It took place in New York City in the year 3000. People seem to think a lot like Phillip Fry who was frozen in the 20th century and brought to the 30th. There was a part in one of the animated episodes where someone talked to him about deah and he said "Death? But exsisting is all I basically do." This just reminded me of one of my favorite television shows that stopped two years ago. Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
