Are love and religion entirely similar?

I was once thinking about religion and such, as I've been trying to get myself to do so, and stumbled across something that struck me as quite odd. There are hundreds of ways, in my mind, that love and religion appear similar. I want someone to either disprove my thoughts, or find ways to make them even more true. Either way, your mind will be working, and, last I checked, that's what this site is for, eh?

  • I would have to disagree

Unless you speak of only one religon love and religion are very diverse. Think across the seas religon is working against love in Islam for those homosexual. Wheither you think homosexuality is asin or not it is love noe the less. Religon is no more a set of guide lines with a story background where as love is a sensation you feel that apeals to you in some way. Love is not restricted, where as religon is.

Religion is a moral concept. Love is the greatest feeling on earth. Religions cause wars. Love ends wars. So no; religion and love are far from being the same.
