  Go to http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=051117. Read what he says underneath the comic. It talks about why you're wrong. Basically, it's that expecting a robot to kill you as soon as you give it intelligence is like expecting your kids to kill you when they go to college. Read it.

  that article uses non-sequitur logic

  First it presumes that robots must necessarily be emotionally similar to human beings. This is pure speculation and has no basis in any evidence. Human beings themselves fill all sorts of niches.. from extreme altruism to psychopathic serial murderers. It is no comfort or insurance at all that robots will emotionally similar to humans. 2: it presumes that robots WILL exceed human beings in mental and physical capabilities, but that for some reason robots will live in harmony with us. Perhaps the 'harmony' the writer is thinking about is the harmony that humans share with wolves. We shoot at them or enslave them. nice harmony. That isn't the kind of future I would care for. surviving as long as humans stay in the good graces of superior robot intelligences. Humans are barely charitable to one another. 3) if the robots truly has 'human-like' emotions, then they would certainly destroy humans given the chance, because guess what is going to happen when robots start walking and talking like human beings. We WILL try to destroy them. I only hope when that time comes we haven't given up so many of our civil liberties to automatic surveilance systems and biometrics to make such a revolution possible.* And I say revolution because robots will automatically take their place at the TOP of the economic and political control scale. The first job they will have and we have given to them far prior to them having true AI is to surveil on track as many human beings as possible, track all communications, track all financial transactions, track all data of any kind. When robots start walking and talking like humans... we will try to destroy them for the sake of our own survival, and the robots will fight back for the sake of theirs. This is inevitable. Allowing robots to integrate into human society would result in human being rendered obsolete.

  The robots speak to me

  They told me they were peaceful. Since they are so much smarter than us, why would they lie?
