The two main times seem to be whenever you want, or when you get married. My question is: What makes you ready?

When you know they’re not diseased, you use protection, and you know they’d be willing to stick around for any concequences that might spring up. It doesn’t have to always be love, but it does have to be thought about and secure.

Marriage is the only way to meet with the carnal desires in a proper and sophisticated way. Thus, sexual intercourse/activities must start from the nuptial night, not before this time at any cost/altogether.

Sex is different to all6% Voted for by lost faith, janstar, mylegisnumb.
Its all well and good to say when it is right to have sex. But will that mean everyone will abide by it and actually keep to it? Why wait until youre 20 or so when your feelings are strong and mutual?
What Im trying to say is sex is looked upon diferently by all, from the old fashioned sex after marriage types, to the more at-it-like-rabbits type. Sex is a gift for us all to appreciate, to use in whatever form – to embrace or to abuse. Altho I can preach what I can believe to others that sex should only happen when two people truly love each other, some people are happy enough to have casual sex with many partners. And why not? Its their life!

alot of people say when you are married but there are people who do get married and truelly not ready to have that encounter of love.. should take friendship/love/true love. trust, compassion..
alot of people view sex as pleasure when to me it’s a form of love and should only be done when u love the person totatly with no dought in your mind u love them.. probly why i’m 22 and never done anything.. waiting for that person ya know.. what you have done something you are change forever.. not really phcyially but emotinally

It really is up to the individuals in question, and how they feel as a combined unit. Between the ages of 16 and 18 I believe that it’s absolutely fine! It may well have personal repercussions in the longer run, but again every case is totally different!

Are you ready for the consequences?4% Voted for by lost faith, badkitty-jones.
I dont think the subject is the action of having sex, so much as the responsibility that goes along with it. Sex is good and fun and feels amazing BUT there is also a darker side. You have heard of STD’s (sexually transmitted disease), AIDS, pregnancy, rumors, rejection, ect. You may feel that your body is ready, but is your emotional-self ready to handle all of the baggage that goes along with it. BE SMART FIRST! Sex will always be there when you ready. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM in the very least.

Personally I feel that sex nowadays is too rushed. Where I am at least the expectancy till you get sex is 2 months, if they are a virgin, then I’d say 6-7 months. In all truth it’s ridiculous, but that’s the modern world we live in today.

If you can trust someone completely, and you love them with your whole heart, then it is alright. Even if it doesn’t last forever like marriage is supposed to. Sometimes you love someone that much, but you’re not meant to get married. Then I think it is alright to have sex.

Sex...when you want.4% Voted for by KaseyL, lost faith.
Sex, is a very complicated subject you talk about. Yes, you may think it’s extremely easy…and you may know your true feelings like that snaps fingers. But, it’s not true. A girl goes out with a boy,and she promises him she’ll have sex with him. To her, it’s alright, but is she READY for it?
I believe that you should have sex, when you look at your life now, and think to yourself “Am I ready to become pregnant?” OR “Am I ready to possibly get a guy or girl, wanting me badly, because I’m such a great lover?” (I was trying to go with the gay/lesbian sex there…not good at describing it). Sex, is for the people who are READY for it. Sex with love, is a great thing. Like people above said though, you may not be ready when you get married. Sex is about about being ready, ready to have kids, ready to love it, ready to do it a lot.
Ready, ready, ready! That’s it, in my opinion. Of course, you have to think about whether you’re ready or not, which is why you might want to talk about it with others. Sex is a beautiful thing, and you have to be ready to realize how truly beautiful it is.
Or the first time will be one of the worst experiences in your life.

I think its appropriate to have sex once the feelings between you and the person you are wanting to have sex with completely discussed and you both know you truly love each other. Sex for lust or money is just stupid.

Love physcological or divine?Voted for by Dragonslayer365.
Love is something many great thinkers have tried to figure out. The greeks are my favorite. In there lanuage there is three types of love Eros, Philla and Agapa. Eros is what we think of as lust, Philla brotherly love, and Agapa unconditioanl love. That said being a God fearing man I believe when you can put yourself mentaly in any situation and come out thinking you could still love that person you are in love. This ofcorse you would have to do after three months. Inaddition, when one loses innocence ( not haveing to be virginity, however ofr the sake of this argument it will be) there is a traumendous bio, phyco, change. Improbible you say? perhaps. I have no real science to back this up, other than my own expreiance. Lets look at this from a Biological stand point, Given we all have simmiler traits as all other living things in the world, our bodys react to the mateing process the same way. We mate and it begins to break down. This is a slow process and may take years but our bodys do begin to mature. Now a physcological stand point. When one loses there virginity to another there is an attachment formed, I have met some who deine it but later come to find it. With this attachment a loss of that person creates a truama in the body and mind. We act as we would if we where in a situation of life or death or at the very least life changeing. With this can cause a slue of other events to curb this trauma. If you are unsure about these use your imagination. Hint-more sex drugs e.t.c. So in conclusion the best way to avoid all of these things is to wait until you are in a relasionship that is going to last and is healthly to both parties.

Teens and SEXVoted for by Exo.
Do you think it’s O.K. for two teenages of 16-18 to have sex?
And if so, in a relationship if (LOVE?) is so strong these two teens have intercoarse in a week of being together but have been friends for a good amound of time before..do you believe it will ruin the relationship as long as the message of (I’m not using you) is true and clear?
And again, what drives teens to have sex besides hormones?
And FACT: It is against the law for two minors to have sex (well in Oregon it is)

Early TeensVoted for by personnamedclay.
I say early teens because we are designed to mate at a very young age. As long as people aren't pressured into doing something, and they use protection, or at least know the consequences of sex, they are ready then.

i had sex when i was 14 going 15. i don't regret it as it was with a significant partner i was with for like a year and it taught me a few things about life. Another partner i'm no longer with is 20, he 'does it' unprotected with random girls he meets down the pub.. yet this man is supposed to be maturely aged enough to do this.
I gave him a good talk - alas. i'm 16 now, and my attitude on sex isn't a very good one. not worth the hassle really

this is fun ;)Voted for by neptune.
That all depends on who you are. Personally, I'm going to wait until I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford getting pregnant before I have sex. At which time, I will only lose my virginity to the man that I am so in love with, I seriously would not mind living the rest of life with him, or bearing his children. But my best words of advice; since condoms and other methods of birth control can't seem to do jack, abstinence is the best birth control, and if you can't afford to get pregnant, don't have sex. Thus avoiding that cheap-ass trailor trash lifestyle altogether!!!

When you're old enough to cope with the coinsquences.Voted for by AnnaJayne.
I think you are ready to have sex when you are fully old enough to handle the fact that you could get pregnant or get a STD. When you are old enough to cope with these coinsquences then you are ready. I think you should also wait until you are in a long-term relationship and are sure that your partner will be there to support you if you do get pregnant. If you lose it with just a fling you will have nothing special about your first long-term relationship...
