Why do we blame everything going wrong on everyone else? When we are the ones destroying the earth?

We hear stories on the news about how in a few thousand years the earth will explode or something to that effect! But why blame it on those across the sea... such as Americans, Australians, English etc! Really We are all the same we are all destroying the earth. So why not admit to it, and stop complaining and start doing something to protect ourselves? Why are we so selfish?

  • Simple

Its the easiest way to deal with things... blame someone else... i mean dont get me wrong i dont think that makes it right but hey from what i've seen thats all it is... its easier to blame someone else then to take some responsibility and try to help/change things

Did you know that *one* volcanic eruption puts out more pollution than humans have in their entire existance, look it up. I don't think anyone passes the buck on pollution, in fact there are tons of environmentalists in America that do what they can to keep the earth clean.

  • Everybody is Doing It

People think that even if something they do is wrong, it's not going to make a big difference whether they do it or not. Everybody is responsible for some negative effect on the environment, but nobody thinks they can make a difference. It's this collective attitude from humans that results in nothing getting better.

tho it seems illogical, to pass the blame is a natural (if flawed) human trait, sure some of us finally grow out of this childish mindset, (not to say no one does) but mix that in with the desire to keep a position of power, say president/king/whatever then you've got all the reason in the world to blame nature for natures problems or anyone else out there....
as far as the environment its true that no one believes they, personally, can make a difference... this negative view is one thing that gets in the way of the people changing what the governments won't... (not that im against governments, but red tape comes over saving the world in their books....)
