I disagree. I think it's possible to really love someone with your whole heart, soul and being. You don't have to know them inside and out to feel love for them. I think that when you really love somebody, there are things that will just come up constantly, new things you learn about that person. When you love someone, you never stop learning about them as a person. And you are eager to keep learning these things.
As for the trust issue, if you find yourself constantly worrying about what they are doing and if they are being unfaithful, it just goes to show that you are still probably in the healing process of a past relationship, or something of that nature. In order to trust someone fully, you would need to cleanse yourself of the negativity. Before you jump into another relationship, stop and work on yourself first. Get to know yourself, your feelings and what you want out of a relationship. It's all about you.

I am an existentialist by nature but not by choice. I believe that the love between a man and a woman is to some extent based on lust. How many times have I heard men say that if it werem't for sex they would much prefer to be with a man, since men share more common interests than women and men. I firmly believe that without lust most heterosexual relationships would flounder, even though the partners regard their relationship as more profound and more enduring than anything based on lust alone.
