Muslims,, what do you think about Islam compared to the other religions? (Important topic to disguss)

Well, My name is Nelli and I'm from Mexico, my English isn't very well, so you'll realize that the greammer and the spelling has some mistakes and not that good..

Okay,, What I know is that the idea about Muslims in the world is really bad,, But why? is it because of some of stupid people who make some mistakes in the world and who are terrorists? Or is it because of their weird traditions and reserved religion? Why is this idea so bad like this? Are all Muslims terrorists?

I'm asking this question because I've been to too many Muslim countries, and I found them very freindly, very helpfull, very generous and very educated.. This Idea made me asking them; {why are you treating me and other forign people by this way!} the answer was: (((we are as a Muslim people, our religion is encouraging us to be friendly and nice with other people even though they are not Muslims!! But unfortunatly, the media especially in the US and Europe showing the opposite picture about us and we beleive this is normal because the media in Europe and US controled by the Jewish!! )))

^ this is definitly tru guys! ^

and I feel this is unfear to treat someone or to judge someone if you don't really know the truth about him!

    Islam is the religion of peace, tolerance, humility and love, not the religion of war or terrorism. But such nasty people who are the infamous blur on the very face of the earth, have wrongly presented it before the world. Otherwise, muslims are proud of the noblest teachings which we have learnt from our Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him), who always preached tolerance, kindness, politeness, purity of both mind and heart and pious ways to lead a quality life by obeying the commands of our Lord, the Creator, and always do good with the fellow human beings. Further, muslims respect the Holy Virgin Mary and the Holy Christ very very much and I wish all the Christians "Merry Christmas" from the Muslim community!!

  • Hindu thoughts on Islam

    I'm a Hindu but i believe that Islam is a great religion..because it believes that faith is everything in religion..its only some assholes who are trying to insult this great religion using words like Jehad and killing innocent people..i think they should be captured and be made to read the Koran again..God is about kindness and forgiveness...

    Islam is a religion that believes in the same God that christians and Jewish believes in and believes in the christinty and Jwish religion but it says that Jesus is not a god or son of The God Jesus is a great prophet and Islam is a word that means peace so all the people that consider their selves as muslims and they r killing innocent people dont even know what Islam means because in the Holy Quran GOD said that when muslims FORCED to fight a country they cant kill an old man or woman,a lady and a child and cant cut a tree or kill an animal or even kill a person that dont have a gun that can kill . so hpw in the world you call all the terrorism Islam !!!!

    My opinion as a lasped Christian,is that WE,Christians and muslims, took a jewish religeon,then twisted it to suit ourselves.Try reading more books,not just the ones you are comfortable with.You'll find the roots of Christianity in the ancient Egytian cults.In Persia(Iran),there existed a religeon of the battle between light and dark,Zoroastianism.The minarettes are a left over from climbing towers to pray to the sun as it went down.

  • From a secular perspective
    I refuse to judge people by the religion they subscribe to. They themselves may be good people, but they must demonstrate it through their own actions. A religious choices has little to do with someone's character.

    Just because Islam is a self-proclaimed 'religion of peace' does not mean that it's members will be peaceful, and inversely, it also does not mean that they will not be peaceful. Or simply put: a religion does not vouch for, or hinder your image.

    But I absolutely agree that it is wrongful for someone like yourself to be discriminated against on the basis of your religion. Xenophobia is terrible, and horribly rampant in the States.

  • Selfish and insecure
    Like most major religions, the Muslim faith is purely egomaniac. In order to subdue their anxiety of life, uncertainty, and death, they establish a fictionalized perception of reality and justify it by forcing into a logical framework. Man is afraid of being devalued by others and himself, so he must create a system that provides self-worth; hence the moral ideal that so many people wish to achieve.

    So, I tend to place all religions under the same view, with a special spot reserved to those that seek to validate their worth through the conversion of others. Those I simply have trouble tolerating.
