A RANT ON RACISM or THE NIGGERIZATION OF BLACK AMERICA
I just heard someone say…”blacks can’t work no where’s but McDonalds or Burger King, ‘cause of whitey” The healthy, young Black man who was spouting these words of wisdom was in the Laundromat, where he had been all day playing video games and “aksing” for quarters, with his pants practically down to his knees, his $100.00 sneakers untied, and his hat on backwards over his gang-style “doo-rag”
Any young man, or woman, for that matter, black, white, or Hispanic, who has deliberately, and voluntarily, turned themselves into a loud-mouthed, guffawing buffoon that can’t even pull his own pants up or speak understandable English should not be whining about “racism” It is mainly the cause of his or her own choices that they can only get a job as a burger-flipper in a fast food chain. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with any honest labor.
I wanted to say, “ Pull your pants up, man! …Stop seeing any sign of intelligence as “uncool” … …go to school… get into college on your own merits, not by affirmative action…start a business… have an original idea, act upon it…and go where ever your dreams and abilities can take you…This is America!! Of course I didn’t say anything, and not because of my “white guilt” …call me a racist if you like, but I don’t have any “white guilt” I just didn’t want to get into a shouting match in the Laundromat. “When you can do nothing with people, leave them to do something to themselves” (D.H. Lawrence) I’m not saying that racism does not exist; I realize it does, in many forms. Sadly, it appears that many people still feel a need to find others inferior for them to feel superior or even just adequate. We all do it to some extent. It is far easier to blame others than to find the fault within ourselves. However…I’m tired of people whining about racism when they have chosen to sit on their ass, do drugs, look and act like a Minstrel Show Fool, and try to intimidate me to give them my money while wearing $100.00 sneakers, then tell me it’s because I’m a racist and I force them to live in a “racist society”, with no chance of success. This is the mindset of people who look at any successful minority as a sellout and walk around blatantly calling themselves “nigga” and “dog”. Hundreds of people have been jailed, murdered, burned and hanged for the right not to be called "nigger" and now you have the next generation wallowing in “niggerology” because some black gangster Rapper (who in reality is a corporate, white music business sycophant) tells them it’s “cool” as he takes their money to the bank. These stupidity peddlers and their followers are the problem not “racism”. WHY would young Black women stand by and allow themselves to be portrayed as throwaway sex “bitches” and “hoes” in these same stupid videos and then dress and act like prostitutes voluntarily? What happened to the “Strong Black Woman” like Angela Davis who told “The Flowers of Black Womanhood” to insist on the love, affection, and genuine respect that they deserved from “the Brothers”? Young Black women must learn to say “NO” to the sexist disrespect that the new “Niggerology” heaps upon them.
Did Malcom X (al haj Malik Shabazz) or Rev. Martin Luther King call their followers “niggas”? These are role models! NOT the gangster Rapper with his pants falling down who thinks the world owes him Money and Sex. I worry about the mentality that sees Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice as “house niggers” rather than successful role models for young blacks. They are two African-Americans, among many too numerous to list, that have made their way through the Racism and become part of the government of our great country. This is the same kind of thinking that has invaded the Muslim community, the same kind of “blame others” mentality. The Muslims blame America, the Jewish press and Islamophobia…Black Americans blame America, the Jewish press and racism. Please don’t tell me it’s the fault of “racism”…it’s greed and stupidity… and our children, Black, White, and Latino are falling for it while people hunt down imaginary, racist phantoms and ignore realities.
Bill Cosby said it clear and the “Black Community” wouldn’t hear. "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English," he said. "I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't.' 'Where you is.' ... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. ... Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!"The progressive Egyptian intellectual Dr. Amr Isma'il whose articles are regularly published on the secular Arab website www.rezgar.com, wrote "Why are we Arabs the only nations in the world that still use religion, Islam, and the name of Allah in everything - in politics, economics, science, art, and literature. We kill in the name of Allah, blow up cars in the name of Allah, and slit throats in the name of Allah and Islam, and then we protest when others depict the Muslims as terrorists. We indiscriminately kill doctors who went to provide medical care to Afghans, and then we protest when the world describes these acts as acts of terror. We blow up embassies and trains, and consequently, children, women, and citizens with no connection to our cause are killed, and then we protest when the world describes these extremists, who view themselves as Muslims, as terrorists.
I feel both of these strong, intelligent people are addressing the same issue…CLEAN YOUR OWN HOUSE FIRST THEN POINT TO OTHERS.

Y'all be RacistY'all be Racist!Voted for by NeferMaatNetjer.
I was in job service, just looking for a job
when in came this funky-smelling, overweight slob
with a body-odor stink that could clear a city block
and food between his teeth that sprayed when he talked
his hair had more grease than a bacon-frying pan
and his clothes hadn't seen a washer since they left Japan
He had with him a boom-box, blasting a noisy beat
and was using fowler language than a sailor in the fleet
When the interviewer told him he didn't make the screen
because of his lack of personal hygene,
he started into yelling, and went into a rant
thats when he went into that old familiar chant
"Y'all be Racist!
Y'all be Racist!
Y'all be Racist!
be keepin' us down!"
I went into a nightclub, to listen to the band
there was nowhere left to sit, there was barely room to stand
Then this dude bumped into me, then HE wanted to fight
I said "I did nothing to you!" He answered "you're white!"
So I braced myself for trouble while he gathered up his friends
I asked "you got enough back-up?" he replied "it depends"
"give me your money, cracker!" the dude hissed through gold teeth
unaware of all the cop-cars that were gathering beneath
when two big blue arms pulled his hands behind his back
they cuffed him, and searched him, and found his rocks of crack
as the police dragged his writhing body off to jail
out of his mouth came that old familiar wail
"Y'all be Racist!
Y'all be Racist!
Y'all be Racist!
be keepin' us down!"
One of these days, this is what I'll do
I'm going to confront the ACLU
and go right up to the liberals and get in their face
and say "You're all the bigots who are hung up on race!
where are the quotas for whitey in affirmative action?"
then I'll look in their faces to see their reaction
"why are there no scolarships for underprivelidged whites?
Why are there no legal firms fighting for our rights?
You blame us for everything you possibly can
and if we show a little pride, you compare us to the Klan
so here's a little ditty for you to think about"
then I'll hold my white head high, and let out the shout;
"Y'all be Racist!
Y'all be Racist!
Y'all be Racist!
be keepin' us down!"

i think you just wanted to say niggeroh lookey another rant by a cowardly bigot hiding behind the same, tired "typical, nigger bum" excuse. why does it bother you so much that one person can't get his life together? that one person chooses a life of drugs and violence? no, wait! all black people are the same. so, we'll overlook the fact that there are white girls dancing in their scivvies, degarding themselves on mtv as well. and amy winehouse was setup; she's not an alcoholic, she never did crack.Voted for by sekmhet eye of ra.
i think i'll sterotype a race based of one person's actions. timothy mcviegh: all white people must be drug-addled traitors and terrorists.

self improvement will be the key
If there is any growth, it will be from each person, choosing freely to act, to be, to think what thoughts help them grow, help each other grow. In my understanding, it is the Black man's, the Black Womyn's path to break their minds free from the patterns which may have held their own self in bondage. And it is the White Man's and White Womyn's responsibility to own up to the evils of the past, to accept without further shame or denial what did happen. Can we have a role in the healing of these wounds? Yes, we can. This will take patience, inquiry, love, courage, and a willing to sacrifice our long held and cherished stereotypes. We do not have to render up what is the truth, we only have to apply the truths consistently.December 24, 2005

Ignorant
I don't think you're a racist either, I just think you have a sterotypical view of another race. I am not one that ever sold drugs. I majored in English in college. I have a degree. My brother holds 2 Bachlor's, 2 Masters and a Ph.D. Don't judge all people by the actions of a few. You are not racist but by God you are prejudice. Had the offer to purchase Blacks not been made, do you suppose Africans would have sold their own into slavery for trinkets. I think NOT. It is know that the white man (this is his dynasty) is suffering from greed. He wants to be all powerful. Bush is a prime example of that fact. You should never feel guilty for the actions of your ancestry. I don't. I don't feel guilty for ghetto behavior either. I choose to be who I am. Life is about choices, some make bad choices. Have you ever done something that you knew was against the grain? Are you perfection? My family is upstanding in the community. I wonder why you harp on the negative. There is just as much bad in every ethnic group in the world. 10% is what you speak of, what about the other 90% that has forgiven the actions of your forefathers. You are not racist but you have a real misconception of a people because you choose to look at the poverty stricken as the whole. They have their reasons for what they choose to do in life, just as you and I. You should be seeking answers as to why ALL people are subjected to ill-behavior instead of making us all "rappers with sagging pants" Come into the real world. I know more Blacks that are community leaders like Cosby, King, and Shabazz than I do boys who hang on corners. I wonder why the wrongs of our people are often more highlighted than the things we do right by the likes of someone like you. Open your eyes and see that there are those who still stand for good in all communities. Blacks are not the only ones that sell drugs and buy expensive clothing (shoes). You took the boy in the Laundermat and made him all of us. Now that's just silly. LOL You remind me of the media, they always choose the person who is less articulate to represent us when interviewing. Theyt highlight the negative, the lowly, down-trotten. Why not hype the greatness that still abounds everywhere? Let me also say that I do appreciate your mention of our accomplishments. They still happen in our community everyday. It's a mind--set. Education is the key. ReneeDecember 24, 2005

Reverse Discrimination
I completely agree with you. I find it saddening and disheartening that some people (blacks, whites, and everyone included) still feel that we should be paying some kind of restitution for the past. I have never enslaved a black person, and I have never had any part in racism in my whole life. I should not be forced to pay for the actions of my ancestors when I had nothing to do with it. Do Hitler's family members continue to pay for his mistreatment and mass genocide of the Jews? No. Why? Because they had nothing to do with it. I also hate that everything has to be so politically correct. There are hundreds of scholarships available for blacks, latinos, etc. but when a college organization made an "all-whites" scholarship (created by a latino by the way) the school shut it down and black students who commented on it were offended. There is Black History month, the Black Entertainment Channel, The Black Starz Movie Channel. However, if whites were to create such programs, we would be "racist." The whole racism thing is stupid. I do not condone what happened in the past, but I will not apologize nor pay for something I did not do and had absolutely no part in. As a society, we need to move onward...it's the only way to progress.January 9, 2006

there are people around here that fit that description, but I'm not one of them.
I live in a small but decent apartment, have a bachelors degree in German, drive an old but well maintained Ford Taurus, almost never drink alcohol (the last beer I had was over 3 years ago, and then only 1), and i have never beat my wife or even threatened to.
some stereotypes are true. My wife IS fat, and I DO have bad teeth.
Most of the complaints i mentioned earlier came from a co-worker of mine. Darren. Darren is a black man about my age who moved to Montana from Chicago. he complained how he was treated by other blacks in Chicago because he didn't embrace the "gangsta" lifestyle, and wanted to go to college, which he eventually did.
Darren hated rap music because it glorified being a hoodlum, and hated even more the white kids in Livingston (the town where we live) who tried to ape that culture by dressing like rappers and talking like they're in the Wu-Tang Clan or something. One time, one of them came up to him and gave some kind of hand gesture like a gang sign or something and said "what up, brutha?" Darren told him "I'm not your brother, and you look like a retard doing that!" then went on to chastise him for trying to act not only like something he's not, but acting like something nobody with a brain should even want to be.
there are some people who think prison is "cool". we call them morons out here. I know one moron who actually brags about all the times he has been caught shoplifting, and the fact that he is banned from most of the mercantile stores around here. He would probably see prison as free rent.
so yes, there are stereotypes, and there are some people who fit them, and many who don't. I couldn't even guess how many times I got called a "freeloader" and a "bum" just because I had to go on disability. I didn't want to. I had no choice. I would rather have kept that nice, 10.00 per hour job I had before my knees went to hell. I would rather not have had to wait 2 years for my settlement from social security, and i would rather not be working part time as a dishwasher because that's all i can get. these are things I had no control over. Yet there's always going to be people who find out that I'm on disability and think that I'm just playing the system for a handout. i just have to consider the source and ignore it.
