It's a much decust thing, racism, but i'm still curious as to what you think, about black people and about just dark skinned people, how do you think society reacts with diffrent colours?

Black vs. Dark skinned25% Voted for by purplebubbles, Homefry.
When i walk down the street and see a black person im not scared, though when i see a dark tanned person there is a slight twitch. There should'nt be anything against pure black people, they did nothing wrong and we have no reason to fear them.

Have you seen the movie Crash? It talks about that. I didn’t really watch it all, only the beginning. But there was this part that really caught my eye. Two black men are standing on the sidewalk and a young, white couple is walking toward them on the same sidewalk. The woman gets a little scared so they cross the street and change sidewalks. Meanwhile, the black men are talking about how racist people are and how that woman was afraid of them because they’re black. A few moments later, armed with guns, they steal the couple’s car. Of course, not all black people are like that. I believe that it all depends on individuals’ personalities and such. But these black men really did not help to diminish society’s fear of black people. I mean come on. You complain that people are racist but you go ahead with guns and steal things. Not very intelligent. But it is also society’s fault that we associate everything that is criminal to darker skinned people. And well anyway, that movie is about that. Also, I believe that everyone is racist to a point. We all judge based on preconceived notions. We all get a little nervous around people who seem different or suspicious. Too many stereotypes I say. Not all Arab people are terrorists. Not all Black people are violent druggies. Not all Irish people are drunks. Not all French people eat frogs (wtf anyway…). Not all Americans are fat (though many are). It’s all just a load of bullcrap.

OPINION FROM A DARK SKINNED WOMANTHIS TOPIC IS QUITE INTERESTING. I AM A BLACK WEST INDIAN, LATINA WOMAN, I AM ALSO DARK SKINNED. I FIND THAT NOT ONLY OTHER RACES ARE PREJUDICED, SOME BLACKS ARE TOO. THE LATTER IS SLAVE MENTALITY SOMETHING THAT IS NOT OFTEN TALKED ABOUT YET IT EXISTS, THE FORMER JUST PLAIN IGNORANCE. THE DARKER YOU ARE THE LESS ATTRACTIVE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE.25% Voted for by El Amor Soy Yo, sekmhet eye of ra.
WELL...I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MANY THAT I AM ATTRACTIVE, I KNOW I AM SMART YET...PEOPLE DO TEND TO TREAT DARKER SKINNED PEOPLE DIFFERENTLY. THE WAY I DEAL WITH THIS IS. FAITH AND BELIEVING IN MYSELF AND MY ABILITIES. MY BACKGROUND IS VERY DIVERSE, BESIDES I AM PROUD OF WHO I AM. I WON'T ALLOW PEOPLE'S PETTY FOOLISHNESS TO HINDER MY PROGRESS. I TRY TO EDUCATE THOSE WHO WANT TO LEARN ABOUT MY BACKGROUND AND THINGS. THOSE WHO DO NOT WISH TO LEARN I WON'T BE BOTHERED WITH THOSE PEOPLE. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO LIVE WITH HATE AND ANGER. THOSE WHO HAVE EARS WILL LISTEN AND THOSE WHO REASON WILL NO DOUBT UNDERSTAND. -

there are many that see people different. i for one dont agree that people should stero typ. for the syimpel fact that it does bring fear to some.but as far as color of the skin why fear that its only flesh.but as crual as it may seem racesun remans any were u go. but as far as fear goes it might be that theres no understanding of one person to a nother. a white preson can be in fear of a nother white person.as well as others. that is formed by saciaty. it shuld not be this way but for this subject its been the same for years.

no fear, actuallyVoted for by surf rider.
You know, I live in Russia, but there're the same problems only i dont think they are much spoken about. I don't really feel anything like fear or anger towards dark skinned people. I just don't pay attention to the colour of the skin because its not what really matters.
