Game ratings

you hear the game title than the rating EX:"Grand theft Auto""Rated M for Mature" Yet,11 year olds are shooting cops in the game!the parents say"It is OK,Bobby whould never do that in real life"Then a kid who plays DOOM 3,Shoots his next door Negbore(I am not saying the game are telling them do shoot the baby sister or anything eles)But WHY are these PARENTS buying them?!it has the M on it for a reason!

I think it's the parent's decision. The rating is a guideline, not a law to life. If you feel confident enough in your child's ability to differentiate reality and video games, then maybe you've been raising them fairly well.

Literally thousands of kids under 17 are playing these M rated games, and how many kids under 17 are homicidal maniacs? Even the ones that are, aren't this way BECAUSE of those games, and I'm sure a good number haven't even played the game.

Everyone puts up a big stink about how in the game you shoot cops, but for generations kids would around playing cops and robbers with their hands as guns, also "shooting the cops" and I'm sure that didn't have much of an affect on their future as a criminal.

  • hmmm

parents are buying it so their kid has something to do, because the more the kid is entertained, the less they are bothering the parents. The rated M games have the most entertainment and excitement, so that gives the parents more time for themsleves. This is very disturbing and sick, but that is what is going on.
