did you know

there is no specific bible passage that specifically states that pre-marital sex is a sin. (even though in the purity code of the hebrews a WOMAN could be stoned to death if she tries to marry another man after losing her virginity, but this doesn't apply to men which shows the bible is sexist) the bible only says that lustful relationships are sinful and love based relationships are never sinful whether you're married or not. so in that sense, gay relationships aren't sinful if they are out of love and not lust.

ps-if you can actually show me the passage in the bible that says premarital love sex is sin, show it to me (that wasn't a challenge, i was just saying if you can, show it to me)

  • not surprised

i have to say that i'm not too surprised that there's no specific passage on the subject. after all, it wouldn't be the first time the catholic church interpreted (sometimes erroneously, in my opinion) the bible in ways to control many aspects of people's lives.

  • Do you read the Bible?

Do you even read the Bible? I'm not trying to be mean but if you say that then you don't read it. You know that one of the commandments says "You shall not commit adultry." That means no premarital sex, no having sex with other people when you are married, and no becoming a prostitute. The ten commandments are even on signs in the street. They are the first thing you learn about in sunday school. Check it out in Exodus! It says it there and many other places as well. (Sorry for being rude.)

  • God?

my question is- what does it matter what the bible does or doesn't day. Even if it did condem homosexuality, who cares? it should not affect how people live their lives. Also did you know that the bible, in the same chapter as it say "man shall not lie with man", it also says that any child who curses their parent shall be put to death. Some times we have to except that specific biblical words, even to the religious, should not be a governing factor in our lives as time have changes. maybe we should use our own minds adn interpret things for ourselves for a change, hmmm...?

  • seems pretty reasonable

god didn't invent marriage. yes i know first of genesis. "god gave adam a wife." but he didnt make them stand there for 2 hours giving oaths, and then giving them a little piece of paper saying they're married. god basically said. "man. here is woman. love each other and make with the babies."

  • Did I answer your question?

Let me know if I did not answer your question.

    Corinthians 6:18-20 & 1 Corinthians 7:1-2

"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."
