Once you have considered EVERY possibility and have came to a conclusion based upon empirical evidence. However you should never claim yourself certain because you can always be wrong.

This entire post was about it being impossible to know you are right and no it is not better to think wrongly than to think at all. 0 is greater than any negative number.

I would always choose to think incorrectly before I gave up the right to think. It is appalling to me that anyone would rather agree with the masses than think for themselves. That is what you are doing if you are afraid to think for yourself and take a chance that you could be wrong. If you believe in something strongly you should not take the time to doubt yourself. Debate with other people and maybe they will sway your opinion but then you have to think that you could be the one changing someones point of view.... Since you were uncertain you failed to stand up for something you believe in. Maybe you were right in the first place and you weren't convinced and someone that believed in themselves more convinced you their opinion was the right opinion when really they were wrong...

I never said to "agree with the masses", unless the "masses" had proved what they claim. I was saying that you should'nt "stand up" for what you believe unless you KNEW it was right. When I say "stand up" I mean believe that you are right and try to convince others of your claim(our churches do this today). You should reason with yourself until you find something to PROVE your claim before you stand up for it, that is why I said "Never unless proved". Sorry if this was misunderstood.
