Ever heard anyone talk about hitting a dear? “The deer ran out in front of my fucking car and caused $1000 in damage”? Ever heard anything like that? It was the dear’s fault right? We cut down their forests, we build roads and houses where they used to sleep, and we drive 55 mph going towards each other in separate lanes and yet it’s their fault? That’s like building a race track in front of someone’s mailbox and then running over them and bitching about how much damage it did to your race-car? Ever think that the deer doesn’t like the fact that its head is 5 feet away from the rest of its body? What about the birds who “take a shit” on that fucking head of yours? You bitch about how they shit everywhere and if they were to attempt to take a nice proper shit you would start shooting at them! Id shit wherever I could if I had to worry about some human sending a missile at me, dropping an atomic bomb, or shooting at me. You beat the hell out of a puppy when it shits on the floor but when your baby shits in its pants you just change the diaper and call the dog stupid. You then wonder why the hell the dog hasn’t learnt yet. 3 years later when the dog bites that bitches hand off it’s because it was mean and you put it to sleep yet when a child who was abused as a child shoots up a school you send them to a mental asylum. Then you stop and think, are they stupid or are we?

You're too general.
I think that what you're saying is just for some cruel human beings that don't consider the lives of animals. It is completely right to kill animals for food etc, as long as they don't suffer. You didn't think this debate over before you started it.February 17, 2006

tbh in ouer world today we cant even accept the blame for blantant thing we know we have done, most of us are brimin with pride and basically in a world where there will always be someone else to blame we will always blame the weakest , the one that cant yell back cant fight.I.e, the deer. Its sad but its true. I wish it wernt but nothing will ever change the way the world works.February 20, 2006

The Life of Pi: zoo stories and popular misconceptions
Yann Martel wrote a wonderful book, The Life of Pi based on the life of a zookeeper in a city in Pondicherry, western India. I recommend you all read it. People who complain about animals eating people tend to ignore the fact that these animals are meant to be predators, and in the instances where they attack people, it is often because those people have ignored warnings to stay away from the cages, or they have built extensively into the animals' habitat. As to unborn babies, I regard these arguments as specious, because the very same people who whine about the unborn infants do not tend to have the respect for life when it comes to the poor, other ethnic groups' children, the homeless, or death row prisoners. I have come around to supporting the right to life for the unborn, but also for death row prisoners, terrorists, stray dogs and cats. If we're going to say we have respect for life, we should at least try to be more consistent. So yes, I have a problem about killing insects, but at least I'm wrestling with it, and not letting my conscience die. Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
