can you please explain to me how you can POSSIBLY view homosexuality as a "choice"?
and how does "choosing" to be gay, have any affect on how many rights they have?

when many pro-gay people talk (like me) talk about homosexuality, we talk about it in terms of sexuality, ie the actual attraction to people of the same sex. so when pro-gay people say that it is not a choice, we are really saying that the attraction is not a choice.
when anti-gay people, however, talk about homosexuality, they talk about homosexuality in terms of a persons behavior ie: having sex. so they view that engaging in a sexual act is a persons decision so they say that homosexuality is a choice.
so when these two sides of the argument get together and have a debate about homosexuality, there is going to be major conflict because each side is talking about something else entirely.
i think it is safe to assume that almost everyone agrees that no-one chooses to be attracted to members of your own sex, to those who think otherwise, you're retarded...

Okay as a bisexual. I dont get the whole arguement. I think that it is not a choice, but it is just the way u are. I am attracted to both sexes....But personally as a female i do like girls better than men, they are such beautiful creatures...but bi and homosexuality arent about being sexually attracted to people of the same sex, there are straight people who are attracted to the same sex....The question is do you have the ability to love someone of the same sex as a partner and someone you want to be with always.

why does everybody care so much what sexual preferance everybody else is.i do not walk down the street screaming i am straight so why do homosexual people feel the need to make such a big deal out of it .get over the bull crap .there is more important things in life than who you sleep with,maybe our kids wouldn,t be drugged to the teeth on anti depressants if everybody excepted everybody else for who they are.if your gay so be it if your not so be it ,i dont understand why we have to let everybody else know our preferance so they can cast judgement on it ,who cares what others think grow up.
