MUSLIMS PEACEFUL HA HA WHAT A JOKE12% Voted for by Soulmate143, zehnten, looking4realtruth, Hertha, APACHE143. (7 total)
So all muslims want is peace. Islam is a peacefull religion and very tolerant well if that true then all these protesters cant be muslims screaming for blood. They must just be followers of a VERY INTOLERANT FAITH. If I was to hold a protest on my own calling for the death of all muslims I would be locked up and all the muslims would be saying how badly they are treated in the truly democratic countrys of the world.I MUST SAY PEOPLE WERE READY TO BELEIVE ALL THAT CRAP ABOUT WANTING TO LIVE IN OTHER CULTURES IN PEACE BUT THIS PAST WEEK PROVED THAT ALL YOU REALLY WANT IS YOUR OWN WAY. Every person at any rally this past week that held a placard calling for people to die or saying how we would pay should be given one day to pack and then a free ticket to any muslim country they want never to be allowed back. By the way all you really did was set back race relations by decades

Get a GRIP!12% Voted for by NeferMaatNetjer, looking4realtruth, Soulmate143, Weydon, Lady Strife. (7 total)
Look, Muslims! Get a GRIP! they are just cartoons! they are not worth blood! I don't care how insulted you feel about them. If you are too small to take a little satire, then I say you are like infants! Spoiled-rotten babies who throw tantrums at the slightest provocation.
There have been insulting cartoons about Jesus. I remember one in particular that showed Jesus on the cross waering a dress, with a caption that said "CROSS DRESSER". with it accompanied an article in which came the insinuation that Jesus was homosexual. Did we Christians burn down buildings and make death threats? Let's not forget that New York asshole Andres Serrano and his "Piss Christ" photo of a crucfix in a glass of urine. Did we put a price on his head, and offer money to kill him? NO! because we are bigger than that!
if you think all these fatwas are going to make westerners think better of you , you are totally wrong. they will only make things worse. it was not the Danish cartoonist who made the image of the prophet as a terrorist, it was the JIHADISTS who do evil in his name!they are the real blasphemers, so if you want to punish someone, punish them!

Please Respect Holy Christ
Please condemn those who draw sketches and cartoons of Holy Christ and any other Holy Prophet. It is the collective duty of us all the human beings. -
i do condemn what they do, when they are insulting to Christ, but i will not kill them or destroy their property over it as it says in the book of proverbs;" a rebuke goeth deeper into a man of understanding, than a thousand lashes into a fool." therefor, if a rebuke is not enough to cause repentance, it is a matter for God to deal with himself.

But Dear Nefer!
We cannot leave everything upto Almighty. We must also strive to stop blasphemy as well as mockingthe noblest to make the world a worth living place My dear do you know the fact that only one sect of muslims is involved in terrorism, and i hate it as much s i hate devil??. -
Mujtaba, trust in God
If God has the power to create the universe out of nothing, and create man from the dust of the earth, he has the power to defend his own honor from a petty human, and neither needs nor wants other petty humans to do it for him. Did God need man's help to destroy Sodom and Gamorrah? nope. He handled that just fine Himself. Did God need Moses to bring the children of Isreal out fo bondage in Egypt? Nope, Moses was just the herald, God did all the hard work. When the isrealites were hungry in the wildrness, God fed them with Manna from the sky, When Joshua called upon god to defeat Jericho, God brought the city walls down with his own hands. The God i serve is a patient God. he would have to be, for all men are sinful, yet his love for us is limitless. I once embraced pagan beliefs. I worshipped the ancient gods of Egypt, and rejected the true God. That alone should have been reason to send me to hell, but gods love for me was so true he sent a woman (who was Hindu herself at the time) to soften my hard heart, and then a man of God to lead us both to the understanding of the love of Jesus Christ. God is patent and kind, even to unbelievers, that all will come to know him, and turn away from wickedness. when we hurt other in the name of God, we do more harm than good for God, for we know not his will, and it may be His will that we witness to that person the truth of Gods love. -

Great Dear Nefer...
I know and have firm belief in the fact that God did all, not humans; but even then it is the fact beyond doubt that God has always sent humans to guide and teach the humanity. God did never come Himself to make corrections, nor He sent angels to teach us. So, we must preach nobility, chastity and respect for the great people. Thanks for your so nice contributions and valuable comments. Please let me know about yourself, if you like. Please let me know about your activities and interests. I want to share with you all about me. My introduction could be found at Allphilosophy.com, Allpoetry.com and other sites as poet and writer. I am also researcher and Lawyer by profession...many thanks!!

God came to Earth many times to make corrections, my dear. Christ was the ultimate show of God coming to earth to make the final corrections. Not to mention all the times He came to earth as an angel, voice, or some form. God is always there, and he does inspire and lead people to greatness. But watch what people claim as far as being his speaker. God will NEVER use acts that kill another in His name.
-
God sends His messengers, angels, humans and jinns to make corrections. He says that if there had been lived angels on earth, He would have sent angels not humans to teach the humanity. So, the prophets came in human form and underwent severe trials to clean us from sins and teach us the right path of glory and justice. So, we must also try peacefully to guide our fellow beings rather waiting for the decisions from Almighty.
-
-
Yes, you are right absolutely. we must guide our fellow beings. a guide does not force. a guide leads by example. a guide stays true to the path, and uses his map (i.e. the written word of God) often, both to correct his own directions and to show others. A guide seeks not the easiest route, but the safest. a guide does not tell others to follow one path, and then takes another himself. A guide looks ahead, and when he sees danger, he stops, and looks for a safer route. yes, you are absolutely right that God wants us to be guides to our fellow creatures, but every guide needs a compass and a map. the compass is faith in the truth of God, and the map is God's written word. which must be read in whole, and reviewed often. You see, we are finding all kinds of things we agree on lately :D

look beyond
its so stupid to look at things which such narrow views...why does the world not get the difference of thinking amongst different people..just because people did not take offence to cartoons does not mean the muslims also should not..and were those cartoons made by muslims???by the way i am hindu.. -
Im not saying muslims shouldnt be offended by the cartoons, i'm saying they shouldn't be allowed to stand in the street calling for the death of any one associated with them... When you go to a country that allowes freedom of speach then you must respect what that means. I can do mocking cartoons of every religious personage in history if I want THAT IS MY RIGHT and you must respect that. If you dont like what I do then you can protest about it THAT IS YOUR RIGHT. The law says that you cant incite religious hatred or try to incite people to murder. WE MUST BOTH RESPECT THE LAW OR WE ARE NO LONGER IN A DEMOCRACY. The funny thing is alot of people in this country come here because of our religious tolerance then complain that we let people do in this country things that they shouldn't be allowed to do because of there specific religion. Im not only talking about muslims now. When you move to a different country you move there allready accepting its laws. sorry now im rambling but my point is I can say or do what I want as long as im not trying to incite religious hatred.
-
soulmate has a point. I'm not saying Muslims shouldn't be offended...they have every right to be offended. but that does not give them the right to issue death-threats and burn down embassies- that just confirms what the cartoons were saying about Islam If I published a cartoon of a Siva Lingam with a bomb fuse in it, I expect you would consider that offensive and disrespectful, and you would be right. but if you blew up my house in retaliation, that would confirm that what I said about Hinduism is true, would'nt it? That's the point i'm trying to make.
-
No soulmate no!
law is very very minor thing for us while comparing it to the Holiest people. What an idiot point that respect law...why??..you mock the Holy Prophet and ask us respect law..weldone..Have you no shame or courage to ask your fellows to stop blasphemous act and hurting more than billion people??..Does no law stop you respect the Holy Prophet??..Does no law forbids you playing on such nefarious designs???...When u need urself, u cite law, when u don't need it, u throw laws into garbage...weldone!! Did bastard bush or his dogs respect law in Abu Ghraib prison???..Of Which Law are you talking??...Oh, I understand, Law Of Might Is Right..and Law Of Jungle I Think!!!!!!!! -
Islam forbid pictures of living things, as only Allah can create such things. The prophet lived. Furthermore, he was the messenger of God. Two times as bad there! Salaam waulaikum.
-
Ok now you've got me going. I live in England where we never saw the cartoons apart from apparently one brief glance on the bbc news late one night where they then appologised for showing it. They weren't printed in any paper in this country because the editors didnt want to offend any one. However PEACE LOVING Muslims quite rightly objected to the cartoons and said how wrong they were and how offensive it was that they were published. Mean while other so called Muslims started burning flags and called for atacks on and the death of all unbelievers, there by (if my understanding of what the cartoon depicted is correct) proving that maybe it wasn't just a cartoon to be laughed at and then ignored. When you start talking about Religious laws you must be careful because im sure that every Religion could find something in its writings that could be interprited as a reason to kill all "non believers".

No True Muslim Kills Any One
We, the Muslims are really fed up of bush and bin laden...You please concentrate for one moment and let me know that is it possible that america cannot find out bin laden even many years have passed away??..Actually osama is not the follower of the teachings of Islam, and same is the case with bush, sheron, blair and so called christians and jews...Islam asks us to respect and love all the Prophets without discrimination, and we do that...Further, Islam forbids us to kill anyone, except one who attacks on you. But the christian, muslim and jewish terrorists are exercising unbearable pains on the poor people. osama and bush are the signs of hatred and terrorism -
Mutjaba from your comments you present yourself as a pretty reasonable guy so why the anti semitism in comments elsewhere? Where did you get some of these opinions and why do you hold these silly jewish conspiracy views?

you must know this man
You may be an antheist or an agnostic; or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may be a communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your ideological and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be -- YOU MUST STILL KNOW THIS MAN. ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA confirms: "....a mass of detail in the early sources show that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were like-wise honest and upright men." (Vol. 12) GEORGE BERNARD SHAW said about him: "He must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness." (THE GENUINE ISLAM, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936) He was by far the most remarkable man that ever set foot on this earth. He preached a religion, founded a state, built a nation, laid down a moral code, initiated numerous social and political reforms, established a powerful and dynamic society to practice and represent his teachings and completely revolutionized the worlds of human thought and behavior for all times to come. "HIS NAME IS MUHAMMAD" May Peace of God Be Upon Him (pbuh) He was born in Arabia in the year 570 C.E. (common era), started his mission of preaching the religion of Truth, Islam (submission to One God) at the age of forty and departed from this world at the age of sixty-three. During this short period of 23 years of his Prophethood, he changed the complete Arabian peninsula from paganism and idolatry to worship of One God, from tribal quarrels and wars to national solidarity and cohesion, from drunkenness and debauchery to sobriety and piety, from lawlessness and anarchy to disciplined living, from utter bankruptcy to the highest standards of moral excellence. Human history has never known such a complete transformation of a people or a place before or since - and IMAGINE all these unbelievable wonders in JUST OVER TWO DECADES. Lamartine, the renowned historian speaking on the essentials of human greatness wonders: "If greatness of purpose, smallness of means and astounding results are the three criteria of human genius, who could dare to compare any great man in modern history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man moved not only armies, legislation, empires, peoples and dynasties, but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more than that, he moved the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas, the beliefs and souls....his forbearance in victory, his ambition, which was entirely devoted to one idea and in no manner striving for an empire; his endless prayers, his mystic conversations with God, his death and his triumph after death; all these attest not to an imposture but to a firm conviction which gave him the power to restore a dogma. This dogma was two-fold, the unity of God and the immateriality of God; the former telling what God is, the latter telling what God is not; the one overthrowing false gods with the sword, the other starting an idea with the words. "Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images, the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is MUHAMMAD. As regards all the standards by which Human Greatness may be measured, we may well ask, IS THERE ANY MAN GREATER THAN HE?" (Lamartine, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp 276-277) The world has had its share of great personalities. But these were one-sided figures who distinguished themselves in but one or two fields, such as religious thought or military leadership. The lives and teachings of these great personalities of the world are shrouded in the mist of time. There is so much speculation about the time and place of their birth, the mode and style of their life, the nature and detail of their teachings and the degree and measure of their success or failure that it is impossible for humanity to reconstruct accurately the lives and teachings of these men. Not so this man. Muhammad (pbuh) accomplished so much in such diverse fields of human thought and behavior in the fullest blaze of human history. Every detail of his private life and public utterances has been accurately documented and faithfully preserved to our day. The authenticity of the record so preserved are vouched for not only by the faithful followers but even by his prejudiced critics. Muhammad (pbuh) was a religious teacher, a social reformer, a moral guide, an administrative colossus, a faithful friend, a wonderful companion, a devoted husband, a loving father - all in one. No other man in history ever excelled or equaled him in any of these different aspects of life - but it was only for the selfless personality of Muhammad (pbuh) to achieve such incredible perfections. MAHATMA GANDHI, speaking on the character of Muhammad, (pbuh) says in YOUNG INDIA: "I wanted to know the best of one who holds today's undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind....I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to this friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life." THOMAS CALYLE in his HEROES AND HERO WORSHIP, was simply amazed as to: "how one man single-handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades." DIWAN CHAND SHARMA wrote: "Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him." (D.C. Sharma, THE PROPHETS OF THE EAST, Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12) EDWARD GIBBON and SIMON OCKLEY speaking on the profession of ISLAM write: "'I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet has never transgressed the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion." (HISTORY OF THE SARACEN EMPIRES, London, 1870, p. 54) Muhammad (pbuh) was nothing more or less than a human being. But he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God,' and so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be. Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous poetess of India, SAROJINI NAIDU says: "It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother." (S. Naidu, IDEALS OF ISLAM, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169) In the words of PROF. HURGRONJE: "The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations." He continues: "The fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations." The world has not hesitated to raise to divinity, individuals whose lives and missions have been lost in legend. Historically speaking, none of these legends achieved even a fraction of what Muhammad (pbuh) accomplished. And all his striving was for the sole purpose of uniting mankind for the worship of One God on the codes of moral excellence. Muhammad (pbuh) or his followers never at any time claimed that he was a Son of God or the God-incarnate or a man with divinity - but he always was and is even today considered as only a Messenger chosen by God. MICHAEL H. HART in his recently published book on ratings of men who contributed towards the benefit and upliftment of mankind writes: "My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels." (M.H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York, 1978, p. 33) K. S. RAMAKRISHNA RAO, an Indian Professor of Philosophy in his booklet, "Muhammad, The Prophet of Islam," calls him the "PERFECT MODEL FOR HUMAN LIFE." Prof. Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying: "The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes! There is Muhammad, the Prophet. There is Muhammad, the Warrior; Muhammad, the Businessman; Muhammad, the Statesman; Muhammad, the Orator; Muhammad, the Reformer; Muhammad, the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad, the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad, the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad, the Judge; Muhammad, the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero." Today after a lapse of fourteen centuries, the life and teachings of MUHAMMAD (pbuh) have survived without the slightest loss, alteration or interpolation. They offer the same undying hope for treating mankind's many ills, which they did when he was alive. This is not a claim of Muhammad's (pbuh) followers but also the inescapable conclusion forced upon by a critical and unbiased history. The least YOU could do as a thinking and concerned human being is to stop for a moment and ask yourself: Could these statements sounding so extraordinary and revolutionary be really true? And supposing they really are true and you did not know this man MUHAMMAD (pbuh) or hear about him, isn't it time you responded to this tremendous challenge and put in some effort to know him? It will cost you nothing but it may prove to be the beginning of a completely new era in your life. We invite you to make a discovery of this wonderful man, MUHAMMAD (pbuh), the like of whom never walked on the face of this earth. -
the man you need to know
the man you need to know is the Lord Jesus Christ. he alone lived a perfect, sinless life. he alone was born without sin, concieved by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ lived his life as an example for all to follow. He was merciful, even unto those whom judgement was against. He was generous and kind to those society rejected. he called sinners to redemption, and admonished all to treat their fellow human beings as brothers and sisters. Jesus Christ willingly gave up his life, suffering the most horrible death imaginable, to atone for your sins and my sins and all sins, so that the price for you salvation is already PAID! All you need do is accept it. Admit to God in prayer that you are a sinner, ask Jesus into your heart, submit to him as your lord and savior, and all of your sins will be washed away, and you will be holy in the eyes of almighty God, cleansed and pure. Muhammad did not die for your sins. Jesus Christ did. -

Muhammed (PBUH) was a Rasool, and said as much. He was chosen by Allah (literally "The God", as in "lah e lah hai il-allah, Muhammed rasool" [spelling on the arabic word for "Prophet"?]) to be the final prophet, as was Jesus. Unfortunately, people (i.e. Christians) took the prophet thing and threw it out the window. Jesus was a prophet, but was twisted to fit the Messianic prophecies of Judaism. I'll admit publicly to as much. The Qu'ran tells us that he who tells Muslims he is Muslim but goes out to unbelievers and says "I am really with you" is doomed to a worse hell than those who do not claim to be Muslim (in Al Baqarah [The Cow], I think). See my windows analogy on religions as for more explanation. Salaam Alaikum.

No, Bobrocks ...look again
Jesus Fulfilled ALL of the propesies in the old testament regarding the messiah. ALL of them. Do you have any idea what the odds of that are? 467,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, to 1! That's more than the distance to the Andromeda Galaxy...IN INCHES! So if he was not the messiah, I wonder who would qualify as him in YOUR book! also I might add that most Jews reject the messianic prophecies, and dont hold the books containing them in much regard. most Jews focus only on the TORAH, the first 5 books of the Bible, and ignore the teachings of such prophets as Isaiah, who fortold with great accuracy the coming of Christ. -
He was a Holy Prophet. The beliefs of Islam include that the corruption of the Bible and Torah is a fact. The Bible itself states that parts of it were not written until hundreds of years until after the events described supposedly took place. Furthermore, we have no real way to test the validity of that statistic. There's not been enough gathering of facts to accurately judge how likely certain traits are as mentioned in the Jewish-writ prophecies in the latter 34, is it?, books of the Old Testament. Also, all of the Messianic prophecies are written by Jews for Jews. Just my two bits. Do we have any records of Jesus outside of the Bible or the Qu'ran? Not really, unless you really stretch it. Salaam Alaikum.

Muslims Respect All Religions7% Voted for by Emotions, Dancing Doll, Mujtaba H Zaidi, Shamaila Khalid.
It is highly pathetic that the believers of Islam respect all the religious leaders, but so called "enlightened" crush our sentiments, and do such things which are enough to ignite us to rise against these devilish minded ruthless men. The bastard government of Denmark added fuel to fire by refusing to execuse over the so sad incident. But the muslims never try to supress the emotions of the others!!!!!

Muslims nver try to supress the emotions of others? oh really? Is that why the punishment in most Islamic countries, for converting to another belief, is imprisonment and/or death? Is that why Jews are depicted as thieves, money-hoarders, and devils in Islamic cartoons? because you respect them so much? MUNAFIQUN!

hipocrites
not to mention what you do to gay people -
Can't Allah defend himself? I don't get this, if this offends him and He's all powerful why doesn't he do something about it. I just drew a funny picture of Muhammad and wrote "Allah is not God" underneath it. Guess what happend to me? Nothing. If Allah is real, (big if) then He will probably get me in the next life. Why can't Muslims just sit back and wait for that to happen? I'll go to Hell or whatever you believe in and Allah/Muhammad/you will get the last laugh. One last thing, why do you get all in a huff about Demark when every newspaper in the western world has probably at one time or another printed some offensive words about or pictures of Allah or Muhammad?

The Holiest Personality7% Voted for by Mujtaba H Zaidi, Wanderer1976, nashwa, Felicitas.
Our Holy Prophet( peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him) is the most sacred personality of the world since ever. We can not allow any one, even muslims, to draw even the picture of the Holy Prohet, because we fear that even the slightest mistake in drawing would be a serious sin and offence. Secondly, our religion does not allow us to draw the pictures or sculptors of any Prophet or Holy Saint, because people start worshipping the personalities. And in Islam, we can worship only one, i.e. Almighty Allah, the Creator, the Omnipotent, the Fashioner. Therefore, we are in serious anger and can never never compromise on this issue!

we westerners believe in free speech and freedom of religion. we know that means exercizing tolerance to those who's ideas offend us, and turning the other cheek, as Christ did, when we are mocked and insulted. We accept that other people have different faiths, and some of them dislike us (you should hear the Wiccans go on about how they hate Christians. They make Muslims sound like our best friends). therefor, we expect others to be as tolerant of us as we are of them. and if that means some peoples feelings get hurt, well, thats the price you pay for the right to speak freely. ...and we will never comprimise on this issue, either
-
freedom of speech?
If a newspaper insults you or writes something abusive about you or your family would you call it freedom of speech? The Prophets of Almighty Allah are far more respectable for us than ourselves and our family. -
Immorality
freedom of speech is a good thing but it shouldnt be discounted beyond immorality... -
Mujtaba, fighting for your family's respect is one thing. Burning down buildings and threatening to kill someone, and encouraging known murderers to do it, is another. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can get away with things. It means you can air your opinons, but you have to account for them in a rational manner. This goes for ANY side. The mohammedian protests are one thing. If someone defamed Lord Jesus I'd protest. But burning, killing, threatening? That's too much. If this had just been a spate of protests it would have been fine. But they're not just protests: mohammedians are RIOTING. And rioting is just animalistic and dog-like.
-
Burning is very bad, but......
Dear Praise! Do you know that brutal dog george bush attacked on poor prisoners of abu ghuraib prison with american soldiers and dogs, but you did not drop a single word against it, and now you are protesting, why???.....Had you ever some conscience, you would have never said so...!!!!!!! But even then I strictly condemn the burning of buildings and destroying things as it is against the noble teachings of Islam. -
Depiction of Holiness
Well, I think that many muslims are correct in their views not to portray sacred visages! I mean, think on it, look what American christians did to the Son, Jesus! He turned into a white guy, when he had to have been at the very least, Jewish! When we depict these people, and get it wrong, a horrible stereotype is made. Look at Santa Claus (I know, I know, not real or sacred, just an example. He all of a sudden turned into a fat caucasian guy! He could be Malaysian, African, or even British in that art! -
Is it possible that when those of another religion draw pictures of Mohammed, that it can be disregarded as their intentions are different?

I don't understand?5% Voted for by looking4realtruth, bob2314, Kei-Aira.
Well since everyone else who might have a contradictory opinion is cowering in the corner, I might as well stand up. If someone from any country published a cartoon(s) of Christ in some derogatory manner I would not get all worked up and demand an apology. I might write to the paper asking if they would please reconsider printing such material in the future but I would never even attempt to silence the opinions of even the most bigoted minority. (In this case Denmark's Papers)I mean c'mon, it's a cartoon(s). If you're so secure in your religion who cares what everyone else thinks about what you believe? It's a test of faith, not a blatant attack. But seriously. I cannot even imagine anyone- I just could not even imagine ANYONE AT ALL getting so worked up over something that DOES NOT MATTER at all. I just can't understand it! Please, I know how the above opinions feel about this tell me your justification for the Muslim Community's reaction to a comic drawing(s). Seriously, I want to understand.

If you are christian, and do not protest on drawing cartoons of the Christ, it is your lack of belief and absence of love for the Prophet Christ!!!! -

No, it's my free will to brush it off my shoudler and say no big deal. I'm not gonna argue or fight someone over a damn cartoon. It's ridiculous. (And everyone's always saying that the Muslim religion is one of peace and love. I'm not seeing a lot of either.)

it's not our way
jesus told us to forgive our enemies, and then did so himself on the cross. as he was dying, he spoke these words "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". Jesus never commanded us to shed blood for his sake, and those who have done so are wrong. the crusades were wrong. the inquisition was wrong. the thirty years war was wrong. and if we killed people over cartoons about Christ, we would be wrong, because that's not the way he taught us. -

i agree with looking4realtruth. thanks for reminding us that we ought not to get worked up about these things!

The same happens all the time with Christianity and Judaism in Hollywood media.
I'm a big fan of South Park and they've taken knocks at EVERYTHING, making it very ludicrous that you'd just seem a little silly yourself for getting upset about something so inane. People write it off as immature potty humor, which it sometimes includes, but it's really quite a genius show. They have no official stance on anything other than saying that anyone who takes a crazed zeal towards anything is a little a nutty and completely incomprehensible to someone who does not share this fervor.

You are stupid
This is a bright sign of your stupidity that you are comparing common personalities to the most holy ones. Remember! there can be made no comparison between the Prophets and the general public. Further, if you do not stop the cartoons drawing of the holy Jesus Christ, God would not forgive you. -
God will not forgive us for drawing Jesus Christ? What about kindergardeners who color in his picture with crayons, are they all going to hell? (A private school setting of course, if anyone did that in a public school- oh boy) I never read: Thou shalt no crayon the Holy Creator's image in the Bible. And what about tracts (little books with the Christian message)? They use cartoons all the time to illustrate how Christ died for all our sins. Are those people who have helped convert hundreds of thousands over the years going to hell as well?

dont blame the cartoonist. he only drew what he saw. the real blasphemers are the jihadists, who do evil in the name of islam. EVERY TIME A MUSLIM KILLS IN THE NAME OF MUHAMMED, HE MAKES MUHAMMED A MURDERER.

Shame for you
Look at the shameful crimes being exercised on the poor, innocent muslims in Palestine, Kashmir, Kosovo, Bosnia and others. Look o blind man how jewish tanks mercilessly crush unarmed innocent muslim population everyday. How ruthlessly bastard bush imposed war on Iraq..how dirty and cruel has been the attitude of jews and some christians too to deteriorate the peace of the world. Remember!..All the great dictators world has ever produced were either jew or christian including Napolean, Hitler, Neiro, Raspoteen, george bush and others. If you look at the crimes of your community, there will be only shame an humiliation for you.February 10, 2006

Do you know Peter the Great???????
Please take a book of history and find the facts about Peter the great and Katherine the great. How merciless they had been during their regime...Both were Christians. Then have a glance at European history and see how ruthlessly Martin Luther and his fellows were massacred. Then see Wilham II of Germany and brutal Lloyd George of UK. >>>The list is very long and requires miles to finish. We can forget and forgive everything, but can never allow anyone to blasphem the Holy People.February 11, 2006

I agree with you. Most Muslims aren't violent or even that prominent. No one in my neighborhood knows that there is a masjid down the street (less than a block from my house) where I attend juma. For some reason, deep in the heart of Texas GOP country, no one notices that a bunch of brown people, Persians, and Arabs (as well as my lonesome white self) showing up every friday around 1:30 for juma. It's amusing, in some strange way. Basically, don't attack us, and we don't mess with you. Even under attack, most western Muslims take the proper route and legal measures to stop it. Man, white people screwed up western civilization... Asalaamu alaikum.Stella Cadente

so you hate muslims???
WOW. Listen hun, not every muslim comes from the Middle East. You have a lot of European muslims that don't even know what the hell the muslims of the Middle East do...and I'm one of them, not islamic though..a different kind of muslim. So, please, try to be kinder another time.Energizer Bunny

stereotypes
stereotypes happen for a reason, the reason being that the majority of the said group behave in a certain manner ,or support promenent people of said group who do , eather verbaly, fanacialy, or simply by not standing up agianst them.Sure there are people of those groups who do not fit , but they have proven to be a minority so stereotyping is a usefull and efficient tool. Please register or login to comment!
