I am so sick of hearing about how being gay is wrong. You know what I have to say to these people who say this? SHUT UP! We're ALL people, no matter what the hell you say. And then they'll reply, 'Well, it's against what the Bible says.' I spent two days reading the thing cover to cover and nowhere does Jesus or God or Mary or any other important figure condemn man or woman for being gay or lesbian or by.
Oh and I am one of those people who cares a lot about equality in this great world of ours, especially since I'm in the US. We're all people and I am sick of turning on the news and hearing about someone that isn't white getting the crap beat out of them on the streets. Get a grip people! It doesn't matter if you're black or white, asian or Spanish. When you were born you were given the right to live life to it's fullest potential.
I'm a straight white teenage girl, but I have gay/lesbian friends and friends of all ethnicities. I hate it when they cry or get frustrated because they're being treated unfairly. For all of the anti-racists in the world, give a shout out and help equality stand for all of us, not just a select few.

i watched brokeback mountain today and i would have to say that that is got to be the worst situation there is for two people who love one another (and to thoughs who say homosexuality is on the rise, no it isnt, its just not so suppressed) really, no one should be beaten and then dragged around by their penis until it rips off. i do believe that people no matter who they are or what their backgrounds, religion, sexuality, race, etc. are, they should be treated the same. equality in itself is a tease. we often toy with the ideal and would liketo be treatedfairly, or just like everyone else. saddly, people are not willing to see past their own selfishness and their beliefs to step aside and see that sometimes the people asking for equality and demanding fair treatment are often times the ones contradicting themselves. for instance with homosexuality and race. two similar scenarios by means of obtaining equality. both homosexuals and people of different race are descriminated against. both want to be treated equally, fairly, and most importantly like humans. yet, looking in both groups you'll see that there are homosexuals that woulddeny people of other race equality. and vice versa for people of different ethnicity, they would deny homosexuals their right to equality. despite what some of us may want and preach, teh truth is equality is only being prevented by ourselves and the sooner we come to terms with the fact that people will be people no matter how alike or different, the sooner we can step away from false security and descrimination and be a happy functioning society. acceptance and understanding is a minimum requirement, but it doesnt mean you have to support and believe in what other people believe in. its a simple "live and let live" thing yet no one seems to grasp it.

Actually, The bible doesn't once say that they are caused by sin. Unless you are talking about pain and suffering being caused because the world is cursed by sin. Then yes, but that also includes all forms of pain, and diseases, not just those. But The bible says you can be cursed by them if you sin, but it's not impossible NOT to get if though. That's why people didn't touch lepors, and they know that they would receive leprocy as well. A curse could be equivocated to bacteria if you do not know what bacteria is. Demonic posession is caused by demons. And blindness can also be given as a curse, but ti can be caused by other causes.
Plus, you shouldn't veiw a God of Love like that. You should view him as someone who took that stick beating for you. (In fact, it was much worse than a stick beating) And that his rules are for your protection and joy, not to make your life miserable. -

hold on with that definition of prisoner. ALOT of people believe that they are prisoners even if there is no bars around them. ah the sexual perverts and the people who live within the marital knot. lets use some techinqual terms here. pervert - offender. many people believe Homosexuals are sexually perverted. i do believe that prisoners should lose some rights when entering a prison but there should also be some rights that they do have within the system. call me sappy but i think everyone deserves some safty.

Think about it, hindus believe that people will reincarnate into a lesser creature if they are bad. Muslums sometimes kill infadels because they refuse to convert. Buddists belive in reincarnation as well. Even the atheism/agnostic derived religeon evolution has caused racist attitudes across the world. (When whites believed they were the highest of the 5 human races) Evolution teaches that not every man is equal and that some are a little bit more evolved than others. WHy should I believe a religeon that says not every man is equal? It makes me mad a little bit. But that's not the main point I'm making...

But the Bible, especially Old Testament (which, along with Jesus and His teachings, Muslims hold in high regard) also implies acts of horrendous violence that neither Christians or Jews actually believe in (usually).
Homosexuality is harmless. I don't care how many ancient texts that totally swear they're telling the truth, because they say so themselves inside themselves, I'm not going denounce and persecute them.

Nope, it's not out of context, I've seen muslum children forced to takl about being part of this holy war. It has a special name. it's called the Jihad. The holy war against all other religeons. But I dunno, I'll try to stay away from it, as I'm not an expert at it.

1 out of the 3 of my previously homosexual friends commited suicide. It wasn't that he was made fun of. He wasn't a christian to attack his consious. But he thought of not liking who he knew he was supposed to like killed him. You make me sick as to say that homosexuality is harmless. 30-50% of all child molestations are commited by homosexuals. And homosexuals are a minority in the world. Homosexual teachers are responsible for 80% of teacher-pupil sexual interactions. You are 15 times more likely to be murdered by a homosexual than a heterosexual during a sexual murder spree. Other studies show that attempted suicide and thoughts of suicide are much higher among gays than heterosexuals.
Is it no wonder why christians try to help homosexuals as well?

First of all, I don't think I'd be out of line in assuming your use of the word "friend" here stretches at least as far as "guy I knew" (if not, "guy I heard about but easily could have been my friend and would sound more effective if I made myself connected to the situation). Second, he killed himself "not because of (you know his motives apparently) of being made of", but only because being told he WAS BAD FOR LIKING PEOPLE HE LIKED. The "harm" you're showing in homosexuality is not FROM homosexuality, but from people telling him he needs to stop his harmless urges. It's like saying inter-racial couples cause suicide because 2 out of 3 inter-racial couples you know were persecuted for their relationships and killed themselves from the emotional trauma.

He was my friend. He felt bad because he no longer liked girls. And he wanted to, but he let homosexual thoughts saturate him mind too long. And many people weren’t helping him, rather enforcing his decision. It was his own guilt that made him commit suicide. Not what any other people told him. Josh was actually in a very pro-gay group. And he hardly every talked to anyone outside of the group. Other than me, and my 2 previously homosexual friends Austin and Austin.

This is because some people aren't truely homosexual, but really bisexual, or switching between one or the other. Or they are unsure about their sexuality.

But homosexuals are a minority. But a homosexual would be less likely to control these urges, as shown above. I’ve heard many homosexuals say, “Statistics show that 11 out of 100 people are homosexual”. First I don’t believe that anyone is truly and fully homosexual. And they have some attraction to members of the opposite sex. And others are simply more attracted to members of the opposite sex than others (Causing that 20% gap, that would be people who are unsure about their sexual orientation) I also believe that amount is a lot smaller, but I’ll go with this. 11% of people would be homosexual. That means that there is around 10 times more heterosexuals than homosexuals. And if 30-50% of child molestations are caused by homosexuals, then you are 6-10 times more likely to commit a child molestation if you are homosexual. (because that 11% accounts for 30-50% of all of them)

Maybe, but it’s better that they know the truth. And learned that someone still loves them even thought they constantly run away from him. And that if you don’t repent, there can be serious consequences. But if we were to keep these statistics to ourselves then we would be holding back the truth. And if Homosexuals feel sorry about that, we can help them. But if they just brush it off their shoulder, and keep walking along in their sin, then we can’t help them.

I’m just doing what is right. Showing others that they are wrong, and that God forgives them for their rebellions against him is what I’m supposed to do. I’m supposed to be the light. And everything that is not “for the Lord” and “for the world”. And if something isn’t part of God’s plan, then it is wrong. And I must stop it. You call it intolerance. I call It stopping what is wrong in God’s eyes. And it is intolerance, and I could be “mentally maladjusted” towards homosexuality. But it’s wrong to commit homosexual acts according to what God has written in stone. And I could just sit around watchin’ you guys wallow in your sin in the comfort of my house, or I can make a stand for what is right in God’s eyes, and be persecuted. Personally, I would rather sit around and watch you guys suffer later, but I have a mission to help alleviate the pain caused by sin. And that is what I will attempt to do. And noone can stand in my way from helping those who need and want to be helped. Obviously I can’t help someone who wants to be gay and wants to stay gay for the rest of his/her life, but it’s those who are willing to put their homosexual desires and sinful natures away, that I can help.

Pardon me, but I was always taught (by more than one Rabbi) that God seperated the Jewish people from Gentiles for a very "Christ-like" purpose. The Jewish people were meant to be burdened by persecution, laws et. all in order to "save" the rest of the world from having the intense burden of remaining unsinful. The Jewish people were "martyrs" of sorts, as an entire group, for the celestial-given rights of all. Being the "chosen people" was less of a blessing, and more of a divine decree to save the world.

I'm trying to say it for all people to understand. You can get highly techinical, but it was evolutionary ideas that fueled racism, not christianity. Evolution has to believe that some people ar emore evolved than others, or then evolution isn't possible. Because there couldn't be different animals if all things evolved at the exsact same rate. And if all things didn't evolve at the exsact same rate, then some people will be more evolved than others. And races, there is only one human race, the human race. If you reincarnated many times, then there would be no reason for You to even exsist. We were put on this world to choose between God (Holiness) or the World (Carnal natures and selfish desires). I believe they will. Because they are given a choice. And they can choose Jesus or "the world" (You sinful natures, or any other religeon). Plus You can't determine "good" without an omniscient creator to define it. Beucase what may be "good" to you may be evil to another. The only way to get a definition of "good" is to have someone set the boundaries. They aren't true christians then. A religeon is set up by the Holy book you believe. if you only believe some parts of the bible, but not all of them, then you aren't a true christian. If you say your a muslum, but don't agree with parts of the Qur'an, theny ou aren't a true muslum. You have to define a religeon by what it teaches, not by what some of it's followers do. Because I believe in evolution, but only the natural selection part of it. Not the macroevolution part of it. I'm not truely an evolutionist. I never said they were the same, I said they were highly related to eachother, and that a homosexual has different feelings that would cause him to commit such a terrible act. Just becasue you say that you are in love with another man doesn't mean you are.... And are you trying to make us both look like idiots? That's not how it goes AT ALL! I'm saying you are either Bisexual or strait, it's impossible being purely homosexual, because you are boorn with an attraction for the opposite sex, and it'll never completely go away. But you can make your attraction so much greater for the same sex that you can consider yourself "homosexual" because you will no longer have a sexual intercorse with a female. It's impossible. In order to do so, pretend that you read 10 times faster than the normal human. There is still way too many books, chapters, and verses in the bible in order to read it that fast assuming that you had no sleep. And if you had no sleep, your brain would eventually read slower.

We will round it to 30. That leaves you 25,830 seconds to read the entire bible. That is 4305 minutes, 71.75 hours, or 2.9 days. Still .9 days way too many, even assuming you read 10 times faster than the normal human, and have perfect memory. Plus, a brain cannot read that fast if it has no rest. So it is impossible. =P
