Astrology, fortelling through the stars. Does a 12 sectioned chart define your personality, can the positioning of the planets warm you of things to come or expect?

I view astrology as superstition. But if it is affecting some people positively then I see nothing wrong with its perpetuation.

It is certainly a psuedo-science, and sometimes causes people to conform to the definition of their personality.
More often then not, however, the ‘astrologists’ list characteristics that are positive and very general. It is quite possible to embrace the characteristics of all the signs. Let’s look at two different signs here.
Aquarius Aquarians are interesting and attractive people.
I look at that and say, hey, I am interesting.
Refined and idealistic, romantic but practical, they are personable and likable people. I look at that and say, people like me, and I am romantic but practical. This is perfect! This is me!
Now we look at something like Libra The basic Libran nature is diplomatic and charming. As lovers of beauty and harmony, both in art and life, their nature is gentle and kind.
It is a trap to fall into the category listing that the horoscope prescribes. It lists admirable qualities, and in your mind, you believe that it is exactly you.
There is no validity to this thought process, but it does have an interesting placebo effect on the mind.

Anyone who has gone through trauma or who grown up in a liberal home where no one tries to control you, knows that we can be anyone we choose, and every single person fits every single sign under the sun…it’s all in who you choose to be. Astrology speaks in such a general way, that it resonates with us and makes us think it has some sort of scoop on our inner being- but really what it is doing is mirroring back the traits we want to believe we have(negative or positive). We all read a horrescope description with our own slant, and so it’s easy for it to do that. It’s just a big word ink blot, that’s all. I am a pisces, and it fits me to a T, but so do the other signs- it all depends on the stage I am in life.

Well…since we just finished studying this in science class…it’s one of the dumbest things anyone could belive in…did y’all know that your “sign” is most likey not even the name of the actual astrologiacl system you were born under…since they left a whole one out of the astrological calendar…so it messes up the whole system…it was made by ancient people who did not fully understand the stars…since most still thought the earth was the center they thought the stars were revolving around us.
Not to mention I always get the WORST product in the magizines for aries…and none of what they say is me…it’s just non sense…hah..haha…HA!

I do fit the traits for Scorpio, and sometimes the astrologer’s predictions completely match what I’m going through. However, many times the predictions are so vague that they could apply to anybody, regardless of when they were born. For example, “a big life change” could be a pregnancy, a parent’s divorce, the break-up with a loved one, a new love, coming out, etc. Horoscopes and astrology are fun to follow, but they’re too vague to be able to lump all Scorpio’s or Leo’s together as some defined group.

I am a fan of Astrology but am not entirely sure whether it is true or real or whatever. I am an aquarius by the way. Last year I had a horoscope book and it told me what every day would be like. It was actually fairly accurate at times but sometimes when there were big days in my life… it didn’t say anything that I could relate to. I still believe in it though. If anyone can let me know what the traits of Aquarians are then please to so. Thanks x

I believe it is fake and while it may be ok to be the person who believes it (morally at least) it is wrong to be the person who sells it. People are conned by believing their date of birth affects more than age and birthdays. It doesn’t. People get very rich on telling lies in astronomy, be they the fortune teller or something more sinister. It was invented by a superstitious people a very long time ago. With our modern knowledge of stars it should be abandoned.

i do not believe in astrology, i truly don’t but all the personality charts i have read about auarius have fit me to a t and though i still do not believe in them i cannot say that it is a fake or not, to diss someone elses belief in this would be hypocritical of me after realizing that my personality does fit, but i don’t think it is any sure way of telling the future or anything like people try to do, portions of it are just a game…

I read any one horoscope and it will make sense to me. Mainly because they are very generalized and easily make sense to anyone. I read libra and it described me perfectly. Problem is I am supposed to be scorpio. The twelve symbols are significant, but not to individuals, but to events that effect all of us. The zodiac wheel is upside down, for another thing. Gemini is supposed to be at the top of the wheel and scorpio at the bottom. We are leaving the age of aquarius and entering the final sign of cancer. Notice our planet has a tropic of CANCER applied to it and a tropic line of capricorn. These symbols were carried by the twelve tribes of Isreal. Each tribe had their own crest and banner. King Davids tribal symbol was Leo the King.

I love astrology, it's such a deep world, it's one of those things that you can take all your life learning, and even find new interesting things, such as new planets being discovered.
I believe in Natal Charts,, and not in the daily horoscopes. I you make your own natal chart maybe you'll find some interesting responses to the way your life is and has been...
