  God Loves You

  God loves you no matter who you have sex with. He is your heavenly father and his love is unconditional. But as with all fathers he will discipline his disobedient children. If my earthly father tells me not to do something and I chose to do it, I believe I should accept whatever punishment that he may decide is appropriate for the decision that I made. I do know that God doesn’t expect us to be perfect. Do your best to be good in this lifetime, this is true rather you are gay or not. Like a good father God looks at the whole person not one flaw. He searches for your goodness. If judgement day was tomorrow, what man will be judged sinnless?

If you do, and he says the punishment is that YOU must eat live babies, will you fo it?

  Haha, you should watch the movie Saved. Underrated I think. Really shows the various ways that someone can be religious, and examines the hypocritical side of many who claim to be truly religious. "I know in my heart that Jesus loves me." or something to that effect is one of the greatest lines in the movie, even though it doesn't exactly push Chritianity over any other form of religious observation.

  the bible was put toghter by people tring to form a religon from 90-400 years after the fact. the truth is no one knows what jesus origenaly said. all we can do is go on fath. i have fath that god is bigger than the whole homo vs. herto debate. god is love so if i feal love for my partner than it's of god. if i'm wrong ok i can accept that. what i object to is judgemental foolish people who don't know what it is like to be afraid of your own sexualty takeing a few lines out of a vast work put toghter by thousands of people over the coarse of 2000 years (between the old and new testoments) passed dowen by woard of mouth in to it's pres. form and edited by people with an agenda out of context. i believe if god wanted to micro manage my life she would do so with out the interferance of a third party. she would stand right in my bedroom and say bob your messing up.

  god does love everyone, even though we are all sinners. the bible clearly states that homosexuality is a sin. i really don't have a problem with homosexuals (most of my friends are), i don't like homosexuality. somehow though, most people can't understand the difference.

  HATE anyone or anything. god is love. he cannot
  hate. if your friends say different maybe it's not such a loss that they wont talk to you! a case can be made that some of Paul's letters condemn homosexuality but even that's iffy. if you read the whole passage he is condemning temple prostitutes not homosexuals these prostitutes just happened to be male. look sweetSTFU I’m not yelling at you. it's just that this attitude in some churches boils my blood. If you got to teach a bible study on why god hates homosexuality than your pastor is doing this to embarrass you.
  Bottom line it just might be time to find a new church one where the LOVE of god is preached.

  Suppose you were a father. It is your responsibility to set the moral standard for your family. If your child breaks your rules, should they not be punished and then shown the correct way and explained why? It is the same with God and us. He is our father. He has established rules. If we break them, He is just to punish us and He is responsible to make us understand why it is wrong. And He is responsible to show us the correct way. Once we know right from wrong, if we continue to disobey, isn't He justified if He makes it more difficult on us until we get it right? God doesn't choose who goes to heaven or hell. He shows us right and wrong. He gives us the choice. You can believe Him or not. If you believe Him, you must obey Him.

  I agree with bob2314 in that you are being directed into a corner by having to give a bible study that is only designed to humiliate you. There is no way you can biblically defend bisexuality. But there are plenty of ways to show that God loves us and has provided means for us to get away from sin. And much apologies for not being sensitive to your dilemma. Thanks for pointing it out bob2314.

  ...If you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, confess your sins, lead a life in becoming as close to Christ as possible, love others, and generally believe and worship God. The old laws, in which the "homosexuals shall be stoned" verse is found (Leviticus), were made to guide the people before Jesus came and died on the cross. The laws also lay the groundwork for animal sacrifices, which are atonement for sin. These sacrifices are no longer needed to be done by those who accept Christ, because the blood of Christ is binding, eternal, and forgiving, unlike the blood of animals, which made the people right in God's sight until they sinned again. Also, look at Romans 8:1: "There is no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ Jesus." We may be JUDGED, but not CONDEMNED. So we will have to answer for our sins, but we will not be cast into Hell because we belong to Jesus and God forgives us because of that. Just clarification.

  Repent

  In order to be Saved by Grace you must trust in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. In order to do that you have to repent from sin. In another word turn away from sin or change your ways. True repentance is not asking forgivness and then leading a life of sin. To be saved and washed by the BLOOD is to be a changes person or a new man like a babe in CHRIST. I beleive some people have a false sense of SALVATION and one day will split HELL wide open. But we can not tell only JESUS, GOD & The HOLY SPIRIT knows waht is in a mans heart.

  One of my best mates hates homosexuals simply because he has never experienced it, and finds no need in it for his own self. Legitimate reason? Well to say otherwise would require reason as to why not, and this requires an agreed goal, etc etc. It wouldn't be too assuming to say he is in the category of 'finds it disgusting'. But his goal is to find self-gratification, not necessarily peace on Earth. 'Should nots' are only applied when an absolute is defined, and the common absolute that most are aware of in prevalent society is christianity. Wrong or right by the universal absolute, the proscribed absolute rejects homosexuality for the most part, thus rendering it unacceptable. So either way, by God or by simply manifested morals, my mate wins either way, and is justified in a logical sense. The only inhibitor would be socially democratically enforced morality, thus rendering him wrong only to those who wish to see it that way, and not in a proscribed absolute sense but in a simple urged sense manifested via a relative and subjective notion, and maybe he just doesn't wish to get in line with such a movement. It would be like me saying
  
  "Why doesn't everyone just want to be a christian? I mean, shouldn't we?"
  
  It might be what I believe, but unfortunately others may not feel the same way, and there the problem lies. Fairly simple as I see it. The key is in either enforicng the supposed 'shouldn't' with an iron fist, or convincing the opposer to feel otherwise.
