We are living under the threat of nuclear war and ecological disaster. Have you ever wondered if there really is an Armageddon? Will God as the Bible foretold really destroy all of mankind or just the wicked?

I dbout God is waiting randomly to say "Alright....NOW!" and then he'll destroy the world. I mean who knows, maybe somehow it serves some higher purpose. Maybe he'll get a kick out of it.
Human threats are more likely. But what can we do? Be safer, hope for the best, and live fullfilling but not dickheaded lives.

What Bible are you reading?50% Voted for by Weydon, ThisEndUp.
I choose not to have a religion, but I have studied the Bible, seeing as my family is Christian, and it never says God will destroy the world, or all of mankind. Supposedly, what's supposed to happen is the dead are to go to Heaven first, and then believers will be taken next. The living wouldn't have necessarily died, just taken on a new life in Heaven, as the dead are supposed to live again, as in living the second life ("eternal life") in Heaven.
Those who are non-believers are supposed to suffer through the stages mentioned in the good ol' Bible. I suppose if you're left behind, and you end up believing, and enlightened, that'll be redeeming yourself, and that's your ticket into Heaven. Those who do not believe, and die, will suffer a second death in Hell, burning forever in some lake of fire. Some are supposed to survive the whole thing, but I do believe the devil is supposed to rule for 1,000 years, until God retakes the world. I don't remember all the details, but that's basically it.
