double edge sword question

so can anyone tell me double edge sword question. double edge sword is what ever the answer, the one that answer the question will never win.both the answer are wrong. one example :god is all powerful and omnipotent. Can god lift everything in this world? can god create something that even himself can't lift that thing? if the answer is god is all powerful,so that's meant that god is not omnipotent since he can't create a thing that even himself can't lift it up. if the answer is god is omnipotent.so that's meant that god is not all powerful since he can't lift all things in this world. so basically whatever the answer,we always win.So does anyone know this type of question? it doesn't need to be religion .just about anything is fine

  • every.... one

Every question that is asked has more than one edge unless asked with a closed mind; then that becomes a statement not a question. The beauty of "asking" a question is not...to win...but merely to experience the ripple.

  • the condemned man

a man was condemned to die. His captors told him "you may make one statement. if you speak the truth, you will be beheaded- a quick and merciful death. if you lie, you will die slowly, by strangulation." The man made a statement that gave his captors no choice but to release him. what was it?

answer: "i will be strangled to death." this statement meant that if what he said was true, then they would have to behead him, but if they beheaded him, then his statement was a lie, which meant he would have to be strangled, therefore he told the truth, and would have to be beheaded. His captors could not sort out the dilemma, so they let him go.
