Is this universe becoming aware of itself?

At the beginning of time, there was no self-consciousness, self-awareness, or sentient being in this universe. Why would there have been? So is it possible that this universe (not GOD)is the true creator of its own awakening and ultimately, at the end of time, its own sentient being?

"At the beginning of time, there was no self-consciousness, self-awareness, or sentient being in this universe"

what a bold declaration... "At the beginning of time, there was no...sentient being in this universe"
you speak as though you were present at the beginning of time...is that true? if not what proof do you hold that allows you to so arrogantly declare that there was a point in the existance of our universe in which no sentient being existed?
without such proof, the basis of your question can be dismissed with the simple explanation that the facts you have shown are not worth consideration

  • What was before the Big Bang is becoming aware of itself
I've seen that which was before the Big Bang. I've reached the pinnacle since I've reached the core.

Basically, we are that which we call "God". Not in the ego sense that religions have portrayed God such as the Buddhist god, Buddha or the Christian/Judiasm god, God. Buddha was not real in the sense that Buddhists portray him to be. Neither is God. I tell you this because I am Enlightened, am the Son of God and understand and realized Tao. No aggrandizement, just fact. It is true. BUT I HAVE NO POWER. No magical power that religious people expect from a "God". The only power I have is the understanding and knowing of where I come from. I AM NOT DISSILLUSIONED. I am awake so I can tell you this as fact: YOU ARE GOD (a copy of one, unique and equal to all others), YOU ARE ALREADY ENLIGHTENED (except you believe otherwise), and if you remain still and stop thinking for a change and just let the universe flow through you YOU WILL KNOW TAO.

The Universe is part of us. We have transcended the consciousness of the Universe. The peak of consciousness is in the human form, which has evolved over 13.7 billion years to reach the most incredible fact: you are God, my friends.

  • Universal Self Consciousness

I perceive an educational evolution of this universe that began at the beginning of time and will be an ongoing process until this universe does creatively achieve its own self-consciousness, self-awareness, and sentient being. My perception has been re-enforced to some degree by things I read in the book "Universal Self Consciousness" by Theron Kelly Stalker. It's not an easy book to read, but there are some incredibly interesting concepts in it. If anyone else is interested in the possibility that there is no GOD and that this universe is becoming aware of itself to produce its own sentient being, I highly recommend the book ... if only for a momentary glimpse at some alternatives to knowledge that isn't based on any make-believe.

  • self conciousness

are you saying that because the universe theoretically could exist for the rest of eternity that it could as life on earth did evolve and grow into living organic space and time somehow. if it is possible, it is beyond the scope of human imagination to think what such a universe would be like.

  • Hegel's Thesis in 'The Phenomenology of Mind'
...was the universe is becoming aware of itself. Certainly right-thinking people may believe it is. It is difficult to know for certain how far God has put consciousness 'out there. I don't think galactic clusters or black holes for instance are generally conscious or becoming that way.

Unfortunately Hegel believed the German State was the highest evolved form of universal self-awareness. One out of two correct isn't that bad though.

  • Dear Roth
RothMcVeReagan seems to believe that a "question", any question, can be dismissed, or disregarded, or considered to have no value at all, and that means not worth asking. Interesting isn't it? What makes you think that a question needs "facts", or better yet "proof", to be asked? What "fact", or "proof" of anything, what belief in anything, was ever established in the entire history of "this universe" that had nothing to do with asking a question, and then formulating some sort of assertive assumption? Do you understand what "make believe" is? Do you think "thought" is a human creation? Or maybe God created "thought" with infinitely divine wisdom, and don't forget ultimate power. Dear Roth ... No question has ever been answered that has never been asked ... asked, and then answered by "WHO"? Perhaps we should all just stop asking questions for the rest of eternity ... and let Roth become self-aware.
