is there a purpose in life?

is there an actual purpose for all of us being here. this entails the question ‘is there such thing as fate?’ i guess. my personal oppinion are that we are gods toys that he plays with like action figures/babie dolls (for the guyz and girls out there) please give me your opinions and theories!

  • YOUR PURPOSE

    Even though Michael L. has the wrong approach by attacking others, he makes a good point: we do create our own existence and therefore meaning and “purpose”. I have chosen to help as many people as I can and do something to improve the world for future generations. Leave the world better off than you found it, that is the most any god, nation, or individual can expect from you. Take this on as a purpose, it is as good (or better) than any.

  • Fulfillment

    I think in life, a person first off wants to survive, that is their needs, and second off wants to feel fulfilled, have their wants taken care of. I believe that everyone’s “purpose” is different because everyone’s wants are different, and before you die you want to feel completely finished and stress free, like you finished your work early and have time to relax now.

  • To experience all the bad

    I speak of energy alot. Everything that exists is made up of energy that has manifested itself into the physical plain. This energy is connected and flows through us all like water does in the ocean. Our energy has a purpose, whether we are in tune with it and know what that purpose is or if we stray blindly into our lives. All of our senses are ways of interpreting this energy and our feelings are our brain trying to make sense of it. Well we don’t have to make sense of it. We need to live it, feel it, come to terms with it and love it. It is then it becomes clear that we need emotional and physical pain to realize that the spiritual energy is stronger than the physical making death seem like we’re entering a place of unique and undisturbed beauty and love when it is our soul returning to it’s source (everything) making it strong and beautiful.

    I believe that we are just here to try everything, every form of life and every type of personality, which is backed up by the whole reincarnation theory…even though we are destroying the world…i don’t want to get io that though, then maybe there is some other part of the life spectrum that we will then try…sorry, i’ll stop now.

    no, we dont live for anything. I believe in God, but I have trouble finding lots of goodness on earth, I think that God grants miracles and helps on earth somewhat, but that we live basically because of evolution, humans just got the luck of the draw…no points, just fear and happiness and anger and death, and then maybe it gets better

  • The Purpose of Life

    Has a long description. If I were to think of only myself, and not of others, the description of life, wouldn’t be anywhere. Since, if I were to think of others, then there would be a purpose. Life here on Earth, is for a test. It came in by, chemically. If it had not of happened, of course there wouldn’t be any purpose for it, no beliefs. Because of life people believe, there has to be something, someone, who sent us here. We just send the harmony, from around the universe. We send negative thoughts, and other thoughts, to many others of the worlds… I don’t know. The Purpose of Life, is to have a little fun. Why do we die? We die, because it’s a small world out there. If no one dies, then what it be like, with every single creature that was born. So why do we live, what is the purpose. Maybe we were a spirit, an apirition, of some sort, when did life start from the universe, why do we believe in the alien, because, we need to know that we’re not alone. Why do many see ghosts, because people need to know if there is a Life after death. Why do we think there is a heaven and hell, because we need to know who is the bad and who is the good. Why don’t animals think of death. They see almost every day, and they probably already know, who knows, they could think that, it’s not like we can read their minds. Why the Earth, was it randomly chosen for life, was it a fluke, was Earth sent here, in this galaxy on purpose, it just orbitted around the sun, as it flew towards it. What would happen, if it never reached the solar system, would we still be here. The Earth is a big huge rock, with moss on it, trees give it air. And such. Is there life outside the universe, is there life all around us, which we cannot see, What if there’s life in the moss of rocks of the ocean, creatures like us, intellegent creatures, trying to figure it out, just like us, looking up at the big sky, with looking up at us, moving, to blind to see that we are human beings, thinking we’re only stars, and/or rocks, and/or dust. Maybe it’s just a test that we are here, and we have to get along, or else the moon might fall on all of the world. Look at the animals, they fight. Look at us human beings, we fight for freedom, pride, power, we kill ourselves trying, we don’t care if other’s die… we do, but we only fight for our land, which everyone lives on. Why do we make wars. Why do we have the law. Why are there religions, who created them? Why is everything the way it is? Why so many questions, that are not answered? Why won’t everyone get along?

    Well that’s just life for us, I guess.

  • Purpose..Reasons..Excuses..

    Perhaps we live to reproduce! lol So when you say “whats your purose in life” you might say “God”. I don’t like the idea of living your life for something that is just a chance of existence.

    And I must say God has a big chance of existence, noting all the proof of the bible.

    Thats a simple answer, you sit down tonight, write a big book on what might happen in the future and you know what..most likely it will!!

    When I think of PURPOSE of LIFE i think of..eh, our EXCUSE for LIVING.

    I live for myself. Yeah, so I am selfish, thats human nature.

    We live to love and be loved. We live because we have hope of an eternal family. God told us exactly why we are here in the new testament parable. God is a gardener as his crop grows He watches like a father would a child. When one of these little ones springs up a weed, God pulls it out and thus the good crops grow stronger. Eventually all that will be is the good children and God says they become Kings and queens of the universe as a reward! Imagine having your very own planet to play with! That is what heaven is all about!

    Interesting. Out of all these comments on what the meaning of life is, the one that states that God is the meaning of life received the most heat. If indeed life is about fulfillment, that is a very sad meaning. Our own fulfillment of desires bring us nothing but want for more most of the time. If life’s purpose is to be determined by ourselves, then we have no right to condemn men as Hitler, Stalin, or any other monster of the past for their lives were obviously full of meaning to them. But as for a life dedicated to God, ( the Christian God) my, what a waste it would be to try to truly love our neighbors as ourselves. What a waste it would be to put some one else first in our own lives before our own selves. In point of fact, there is but one way to have a life of lasting meaning. And that is to live a life for God. The reason for this is that God is that unique being whom is eternal and everlasting without beginning or end. Being so, if there is any lasting meaning in life, it must be found in God and God alone. Everything else is absolutely pointless for death will consume it. God is the only thing death cannot consume.

    I think that the sole prpose of life is to worship God and consequently live a happy life both in this world and in the Hereafter. If you live according to the laws of God, pray to Him sincerely and help his creatures, you will bw protected, content and happy.
