Hats

Some little thinking puzzles, ok here they are. Two people set across from each other each has a hat put on his/her head, they cannot see their own hat, but can see the hat beloning to the person across from them. They are told that either they are both wearing white hats or one is wearing a white hat and the other a black hat. They have to try and discover the color of the hat on their head. They have perfect logic. They stare at each other for a moment not saying anything then they both come up with the correct answer. What color hats do they have and why?

I have one more if you guys get this one.

the eyeballs reflect, it would have been quite easy to see the reflection of the hat you are wearing, therefor you will know the color. THis may not be the answer but it's compleatly plausibe.

also (incase you don't like the eyeball answer, since you can see the hat on the other person, if the other person has a black hat on you know that you must have a white one. However if the other person has a white hat on there are two choises, black or white. So this is what you do. You and the other person sit in the sun for a while untill one of your heads starts to sweat. If your head sweats befor the other person's, then you must have on the black hat because black will heat up much faster. However if you sweat at the same time then you have a white hat on.

  • white hats

the fact that they stared for a moment meant that they were both undecidable. Both persons concluded they have white hats, bacause if someone had a blackone the person accross would know the answer immediately
