People ask,''What is the answer to life?'' but what is the question?

people always ask this, but i've wondered, what is the question, any way? becase if there's an answer, theres sure to be a question, somewhere... if anyone has thoughts on this, i'd love to hear 'em.

  • there is no question and answer to it

i think when people say that what is the answer the question goes to "what is the purpose of life" but in my opinion life is not something not to be questioned about but to be lived you just live it there is no answer as to the way of life or what the purpose of it that i believe is gods to determine so until we get to the next level we better not question it

  • death and relation to the subject.

People already know what the point of life is, we all know our own point in life, deep within our souls. What people mean by What is the answer to life is "What's the point of living, if we know we're going to die?" To that, I have to say...please...quit being so morbid, pessemistic and negative, or we will all call you negative nancy from now on. People may eventually begin to realize that death is only a way to remind people that they should be putting effort into life, and not putting effort into finding out what happens after death. After all, we're all going to find that out eventually.

  • Simple.

Well, I think it must be stated that the answer is 42.

When people ask "what is the answer to life," my guess is that they are asking what is the purpose for our existence. They just don't ask it correctly. People have absolutly no reason to ask for the answer of what they don't even know the question to. Think about it.

  • An Inner Yearning

I personally think that there is no "question of life." Why? Well, I think what drive humans to look for the "answer of life" is an inner yearning for something more. Something more spiritual. I personally think that these feeling can't be put into words. I don't think that there are words that can verbalize these inner feelings. Just spiritual insticnt to look for more than the physical life we live. Physical possessions can't give you happiness, nor can wealth, and I believe that is the reason people search for more. This "answer to life" they are looking for is happiness.

  • Question

The question in life is difficult. It is a mesh between logic and illogic, the fact that we are trying to be both at the same time, is the fundamental question. Which side of the line are we on, thats ultimate because from there you derrive the next question. but we answer it with this we do not want to choose, so therefore were left with a more ultimate question, why cant we have both... then we look to nature and try and distinguish ourselves from it, when we are part of it... granted we have thoughts and consciousness. A tree grows, it does not have a problem when its leaves fall during september and october, and face no challenege when growing them back... it simply exists... that is peace, the fact that we question makes us in utter chaos... which chaos breeds perfection. the fact that people even look for a question is the answer. The tree does not look for a reason its leaves fall it simply deals with it... I think we need to be more like the leaf, fall disconnected from the thing we once loved, and let the wind carry us. I think the question of life is what are we clinging to that makes us so afraid? when we experience so many events in which things go immaculately well, even better that ever could have been expected. I think the answer is us, getting comfortable with ourselves, and understaning that people are laso doing the same... we often want slack from people but so seldom give it out... we criticize, when we know weve made similar mistakes... even if the thing is uncomprehendable to us, we cannot see what that person saw, everything is from our view. How then do we allow ourselves to rationalize others ideas and judge them... for their perspective you may seem as wrong to them as they are to you... the question is this... that life is a paradox, and you are to understand it... understand that there is a question and an anti question... there are questions you may call the question of life, but at the same time there is something questioning your judgement of yourself... the question... can never be one thing worded with these words we speak... a question regarding all of life need to be like an idea... there are ideas we cannot explain in words, no matter how many we use. A thought is something we try and convey to others with words, however the words tend to loose the efficiency of the idea... it is not nearly as powerful as the fully rounded thought. The answer is to know that this paradox exists... and that if it does... then there really is no question... but paradox ... and we try to make sense of it by thinking there must be some ultimate goal... when the ultimate goal is not to question life but to question oneself.
