Need to succed50% Voted for by I try, CrazyRebel.
I beleive that part of being human is a need to succed, and for some athletes who dont have the phisical ability to succed, it becomes steriods or faliure. other althletes want a short-cut to 'succes' which is fun (or, in some cases, makes you a lot of money). cheating succeds in this for a time, until somone finds out that you cheated, which is when countless problems come you way.

Not All the timeVoted for by prettyangeleyes.
Not all athletes just want instant sucess. If you are a true athlete you would realize that sucess doesn't come instantly. It may come to those who take drugs for it but in the long road, it really isn't worth it. Some athletes cheat, I beleieve, because of their upbringing. Some parents push thier children so hard to compete, they don't know the meaning of failure. When failure starts to raise it's head the person becomes panicky and they turn to cheating to win.

Just out for the instant successVoted for by Brooklyn 6 Project.
Many athletes just want the instant gratification. They do not think about the long term effects that steriods or any other performance enhancement drugs can do. So they say to themselves, "Let me take this or let me use this" that way they would not have to work hard. WIth this attitude though they are only distorting the sports world.
