WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE?Voted for by monsoon-dipi.
If there is a so-called God,and if we are there to complete a puzzle of a giant scale,why can't we seeit? Are we waiting for a purpose? or is it already here? Why do people die with only the fact that they raised a family as their testimonial to their existence? Is that all we are? A bunch of rats continuing the existence of their species by multiplying? We go to school to get work which would provide money for our offsprings who will eventually do the same to protect their offsprings.In the end we are left with a cycle and chains of inter-related people working toward populating the earth.....FOR WHAT???????

I think the purpose of life is to live, with all your might, no matter how many obstacles or hardships life throws at you. In a way, life is a personal competition, where you are the referee, the spectator, AND the contender...the choices you make, they make up your game plan, and the ultimate goal is...well...that's beyond mere 'purpose' now isn't it...

Purpose of life
I think you are confusing purpose with meaning of life. A purpose can be found out by everyone of us, for ourselves. To find the meaning of life, is what troubles most of us, who dwell on this issue. Look at it this way, each one of us has been given a choice, to do a thing, or not to do a thing. making off springs, is also a choice. Multiplying is also a choice. Infact living or not living is also a choice. That there is a meaning is beyond any question. On an eternal scale, humans having a life span of 70 years, because of how we are made, want an answer within our life spans. Life we perceive is not a bed of roses, and hence a few of us begin asking the question what is the meaning of life. It could be as simple as an experiment gone wrong. The meaning of anything is only to the person who has begun an event, we could be part of the larger experiment, and could be meaningless. Sad but we still have a choice. hence believe, and keep on doing it. Someday you will get an answer I assure you.Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
