  • Debate of the world: change.

    I think, the world has a problem with Change. revloutionary War, it was a fight about the USA, becoming, well, what it is.Becoming the "free world", a place for all religons and races, that was and has been a big struggle, because of change. in the late 1600's there were wiches, and people would not accept this fact, this Change, and they wouild turn it against them. Martin Luthor in the 1900's started to go public with his belief, his dream, to have black peole treated equally as they had been treatd horribly poorly over the past hudreds of years, he died, along with many other blck ppl might i add, because ppl were afraid of change. There has not been a woman president in the United states, is this because of conicedence, or because ppl do not no what could happen if there were one, there afraid of change. Gay\lesbian people r being looked down on, judged and beaten up, because the world is afraid of change. And dont think thatjust because it the 21st century it has stopped, ppl r still being poorly judged because of there belifs, gay\lesbian ppl r still being looked down upon because of the way they r and, I am sorry to say, that black people r STILL being treated cruelly because of there race. So what should we do? "Oh I wont do that" saying, is very different from doing ppl. Stand up for ppl when you know there being mistreated, befriend ppl who r different from you, be who you are, despite what anyone else thinks. Because u know what, we're all equal no matter who we act, look, or what we believe.We're all on this planet toghether so why make the best of it. And that, my friends, is world peace. *Liz*

    I like your opinion Keyman. But what I was trying to get across is how the world has a problem with change, not world peace, exactly. World peace is a bit of another story of its own. *Liz*
