What is Love?~?~Voted for by Realistic Nightmare.
What is love? Everyone in their teen years think that love is the greatest thing that was ever thought of. In my past love has been a load of bull, basiclly. Love is a feeling, and most people see love as being able to get what you want..People use those three words to get money, sex, and gifts. They dont use it as a feeling, its used as a way to get the best out of people. LOVE IS A FEELING!!! It is not a way to get what you want!

I think love for many people (note I said many and not all) is happiness. Different people get happiness out of different things. Unlike many others, I am not greedy for wealth and don't get true joy out of money. Love gives me happines

Love is a battlefield, a miind game, an epiic poem, a tradgedy, a nightmare, a perilous disease that takes over the mind...think I'll pass for now..but wait, i have no control here.

Love is an abstract idea to explain the rush of seratonin and the feeling of elation that occurs when someone is interacting with someone else they deeply care about. This is the very cynical view, but the only way that love can truly be proven.
But to me, love is much more than a wave of chemicals in the brian, love is something completly unique. It is the sensation that prickles up your spine when you are chatting with the object of your affection, and it is the butterflies in your stomach when you are on your first date, or it is just the simple smile that shines whenever that other person is mentioned. It just is the feeling that you matter to someone and that someone really relies on you as a person and a personality and not just an object for pleasure. Love as all other emotions is just a temporary thing in some cases, but true love though lasts forever, in the sense that the deeper connection will always be there no matter if the physical sensations are there too.

I am curious, what do you want? I may be wrong, but I have a feeling someone has hurt you badly. Love gives me what I want and that is happiness. Maybe you should try again. But then, different things give different people happiness.June 15, 2006

Not all teens think love has to do with pleasure,I don't
I believe that love is when you care for others. I believe love is when you sacrifice spending time with someone to be with others who need you. When I moved away last school year I realized that sacrificing anything important to you for others is the best love of all. I gave up spending time with the young man whom I still love to this day, to live near my relatives. I could have commited suicide or ran away instead, I decided to move with my parents. I knew that my relatives needed to feel comfort even before I moved. I belive that sacrifice is love. I think differently than most teens because I try to care about others. There is even a bible verse that talks about love from sacrifice: "There is no greater love than this; that he lay down his life for his friends"Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
