Plastic Surgery

When is it time to say enough??? Is this really necessary? Should you not just be happy with the hand that was dealt to you? What do you think about this issue?

  • the perfect body only 9.95$

I don’t think plastic surgery is a very big deal, society is so obssessed with looks anyways, it’s no wonder people will pay millions for the perfect body. And hey, if you wanna pay for it – go ahead, the world will still be spinning.

  • Hmm...

I personally don’t agree with plastic surgery or the changing of your body for something “potentially better”. And for me, it’s probably deeper than just that – I think there are and/or will be health issues that will arise years and maybe more years down the road.

I think you got what you got – for a reason and you should take care of that. (not that i’m the best example for that either).

However, I guess I have seen some stories, or examples where plastic surgery helped better one’s life (not in a shallow or materialistic way). Like a prosthetic leg for example (now i know that’s a little different) I guess what I’m saying is, there are those minor (far and few) examples where I would think it was ok for that individual.

  • Not A Big Fan

I’m not a big fan of plastic surgery but I’m not going to condemn those who go through with it. I think a person should be happy with who they are and what they were born with. But I do feel that those who are disfigured through birth defects, accidents, and the like should be allowed to have it if they so desire. But with the media’s constant portrayal of ‘beautiful people’ its hard for some people to not want to try and fix the flaws that they hate. So as to answer your questions. When is it time to say enough? When you’ve have it so many times that one more just won’t help. Is this really necessary? My opinion- no but like I said before that’s just what I think. Should you not just be happy with the hand that was dealt to you? Wrong, you should be. But not everyone is dealt with the best hand. What do you think about this issue? Like I said above, I don’t agree with it but I’m not going to dislike someone who feels that having plastic surgery will make them happy.

  • Addiction

I think that plastic surgery is ok. It’s not my thing, but other people doing doesn’t bother me. I think it becomes a problem when someone gets addicted and has more then 5 or 6 surgeries.

  • BLAH

I dont think we need plastic surgery. RECONSTRUCTIVE surgery after an accident or something is differnet. I think that women especially need to stop buying into the media and men's "ideal women" - learn to love your curves (or lackthereof) and your flaws. They're what make you uniquely you. I think its stupid to go under the knife without examining WHY THE HELL you feel THAT bad about your own appearance.

  • People's own choice

I don’t think there are many every day people who are fond of plastic surgery. But think of really. Are you fond of every part of your body? Isn’t there always something you would want to change if you could? Most of us just don’t want to change it if we have to do it with surgery… I would never have silicone put into my breasts, but perhaps others would. I think also when you grow older and see your beauty fade, some people get scared. So instead of facing their fear, which is really a fear of growing old and dying, they try to keep themselves young by hiding their age…

  • It's good as long as you can exercise restraint.

I think the idea of plastic surgury is great, some people just take it too far. I mean, how lame is it that you can’t decide how your own body looks? It is one of your most important posessions. Well, THE most important physical one.

  • About choice

Personally, I disagree about plastic surgery. People should be happy with who they are. But there could be other exceptions, like birth defects and accidents. In the end, it is about their own choice.
