Why do Christians write such long replies?

If you can't make your point in 50 words or fewer, it's probably wrong.

  • Not all christians do.

They explain until they believe their point is well expressed and complete, just like everyone else. It may range from a sentence to an essay's worth. Such a question is an unfair judgement. I am an Atheist, sometimes it takes me a long time to write a reply, sometimes not.

I believe that was exactly 50 words

  • What A Rude Question

I am not a Christian, but you have struck my nerve with this stupid question. It is rude to say that only Christians make long replies. If you believed something so strongly you would stake your life on it, then you would want to explain it as thoroughly as possible, too. And it's even more rude to say that if one can't reply in less than 50 words they're wrong. You should be ashamed of yourself.

A young boy asked his father, "dad, what is everything made out of?" The father thought it over and decided to give the best answer he could. "Well son, all most forms of matter are made out of molecules. These molecules are made out of atoms. Atoms are made out of electrons, protons and neutrons. Protons and neutrons are made out of quarks, leptons......" If a person wants a simple answer, they miss out on the big picture. Christians are often in tune with the fact that there is a much bigger picture. They may not be right about the details, but you need to know there is something more to be known before you can really know it.

  • Point

Maybe because we want to make sure that we get our point across and to make sense to as many people as we can.

  • Ah, Young grasshopper!

Ah, you have realized that Christians ( I am a Pentecostel bible thumper myself, thanks much) write long replies. We are here to stand for Christ and deliver the truth. And it's really not that cool to be bagging on christians.. I mean, I don't go around being all like "Oh look, a rocker, he's going to hell." No, that's against the bible. Judging is against the bible! If a christian has done that just forgive them or ignore them.

    P.s. This wasn't that long

  • why do non-Christians look so hard...

for something to bitch about when it comes to christians?

come on, now, aren't you being a little anal here? you ask rhetorical questions about Christians, so expect rhetorical answers Seriously if i were still pagan, and i wrote a 50+ word treatise on how i felt, you would not be bitching, but when i do so as a christian, you look for things to bitch about, and if you can't find them in my opinions, you find them in the number of word I use. what's going to be your next complaint, my font-type? give me a break.

  • My opinion

Because they think if they make long replies no one will question it because they 'clearly' know what they are on about when in fact they possibly don't know themselves.

  • Eaaassyyyy...

Because if you spend all hourse with your nose in a book about 'he's coming back', you want to bone up on how to greet your savior. Along the way, you pretty much get brainwashed with all that crap...And shazaaaammmmm, you aren't getting laid because it's a sin and your girlfriend leaves you and you start attending church three times a week and there's just nothing else to do! lol, but that's just my opinion. Also, they're pretty preachy, so they're probably recruiting. They do that during the holidays when people are all full of that generosity.

  • Everyone has rights

I'm a Christian, but I think that too many people stereotype Christians as pricks, basically. I've met so many people who view Christianity as a strict relgion without any benefits, and they think all Christians are stuck up. I love God, but I'm liberal, and I believe everyone has the same rights.

Look apparently god has written a very large book on the subject, admittedly using man throughout the ages, and lots of that doesn't make sense. I guess you could say their just following a long and great tradition.
