why is love a most bitter-sweat emotion?

  love is something bad and good at the same time. as time passes, love is like a bridge. every moment is like another brick. if it is weak, it will fall. if it is strong, it will last for quite some time. but here's the thing, this girl, I am only her friend but we both have the same feelings, but we are seperated by religion. people say it will not last, but can it truely?

    why the heck not? which do you love more? your religion or the Girl? this is the first question you have to ask yourself. [if i can try to point you in a direction - pick the girl!] but that could be all the disney movies i watch coming out ;)

    Religion

    we are seperated by religion -------------------------------------------------- I noticed you did not say which faith either of you were. Is there a particular reason? I think that info would be very helpful especially in a topic where you are saying someone's religion, lack of, or both is creating a wall between you and this girl.

    I've never let religion get in the way of things like that, but I've never gotten serious with anyone who was hardcore into their religion where it would affect their lives so much anyway. What would be the big deal if you guys got together? What would change? Why is it so easy to be freinds but not more? Who cares if it "won't last"? Few relationships do really...Which leads me to my next point: I think it's very sweet that you care for this girl so much, which is an indicator that you shouldn't let your religions get in the way (unless her religion is Baby Eating). BUT, don't get yourself so wrapped up in something so easily. If you're not even together yet and you're already torturing yourself about things (which will actually make things more taboo and thrilling) you're going to blow this into a dependent relationship fast. Now, being somewhat dependent on other people is unavoidable in life and will happen as you grow closer with people--but you should not being WANTING these things to the point where you're so wrapped up in LOOKING for them. And if you look hard enough for something, you'll believe you see it regardless of it being there or not, which is a setup for easy heartache. LOL I'm not trying to scare you off of love or anything like that. It's great. I'm just saying loosen up. The idea of being in a relationship with someone is that this person makes you HAPPY. So just have a good time and enjoy what you can for however long it lasts: 2 weeks or 90 years.

    I think that it would last if you guys were truly in love with each other.Love can ourlast anything in life.I think that if you love her a lot you should be with her
