Talk is cheap. But then again, most clothes are cheap. Or at least cheaply made. If someone has dirty clothes or wears slutty clothes or clothes you don’t like, admit it, you won’t gravitate towards that person. But if a person can’t talk, everyone automatically feels sorry for that person, thinking that they’re deaf and/or mute, or just stupid. If a person says stupid things, people laugh then forget about it. If a person makes a mistake with what they wear, it is talked about forever. So in the eyes of society, no matter how much protesting people do against this claim, clothing is more important.

talking and dressing coincide to me. i mean if you are an amazing talker and you just blow me away with a speech or how big your vocabulary is and you dress kind of shabby i might be less likely to hold you higher than i would of someone who dresses nicely and is a mediocre speaker. to me they coincide.

.................depends on what you mean by higher. Well actually it dosn’t matter. To me I figure if you are able to speak well enough to convey your ideas then that should be good enough for anyone. As far as the way you dress, hey, what ever floats your boat.

I don’t think either clothes or talk is important in judging someone because so many people are fake these days. Some are true to who they actually are but there is no way of being certain of who those people are.

Fine Feathers Make Fine Birds!Voted for by Mujtaba H Zaidi.
Dresses determine how one is careful of his appearance as well as how much has he made preparation before appearing to see his beloved/lover/friend/public etc… But the main thing is manners and conversation which reveals the innerself of a person. Conversation/talk/chat/words have magical power to mention one’s inner thoughts and feelings…....yet get-up does count/matter..!!!

ever heard true beauty is concealed within? as long as they dont dress embarrasingly badly who cares how they dress (except the small minded). dress sense isnt everything, it doesnt make the person. but personality does

naked people???Voted for by jonesz12.
As Mark Twain once said, "clothes make the man, naked people have little or no influence on society" Even though I hate people who spend too much money on clothes, people lie too much as well. And well, people who can't speak really do outdo naked people as far as influence goes.

You can usually tell what a person is going to sound like and how they're going to talk to you from the way they dress, but you can't know for sure what they're opinions are and what they truly believe until they open they're mouth. To further prove my point, say you were in a room with no lights just talking to a person. You could get to know a person and they're opinions and beliefs and know for sure what they think without ever seeing their style of clothing. But if you try to make a judgement on who someone is based on what they wear, you run the risk of stereotyping them, and being wrong. Therefore, talk is more powerful and important that dress.
