Al Sharpton, self appointed Reverend and Black leader, has been making a name for himself championing Black causes from employment, education, to criminal justice. He made headlines in the Tawana Brawley rape case (which was later proven to be a hoax). He openly uses the word "cracker" to describe any white person, and yet he denies being a racist. Is he fair, or is he just a black David Duke?

"A Very Good Racist At Work"
Who went out of his way to share a stage with the likes of Khalid Muhammad -- a gay-bashing, Jew-hating, anti-Catholic racist -- or praise him as "an articulate and courageous brother?" Al Sharpton did. Who went on the radio to demand that a "white interloper" -- the owner of a Harlem clothing store -- be forced out of business, or whip up a racial protest that ended with seven people dead in a horrific arson attack? Al Sharpton did. Who led a vitriolic campaign to vilify the young white woman raped and viciously beaten in the Central Park "wilding" case in 1989 -- a campaign in which demonstrators chanted her name in public when most of the media refused to print it and accused her boyfriend of being the real assailant? Al Sharpton did. It is as if David Duke were running for president and the leading figures in politics and the press decided not to make an issue of the fact that he had been an Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. Is it even remotely conceivable that Duke would be regarded as just another candidate, let alone a candidate qualified to criticize the racial failings of others? Yet there was Sharpton at the CNN debate in Boston last week, lecturing Dean on "brotherhood" and quoting Martin Luther King. "You're not a bigot," he said, "but you appear to be too arrogant to say `I'm wrong.' " This from the slanderer who to this day refuses to apologize for his role in the contemptible Tawana Brawley hoax, and for his poisonous libel of an innocent man. That man was Steven Pagones. In 1988, he was an assistant district attorney in the upstate New York county where Brawley claimed she had been abducted. Her story -- that six white men had raped her over four days -- was vivid, shocking, and, it turned out, entirely fictitious. But Sharpton swore it was true, and vehemently accused Pagones of being one of the rapists. "If we're lying, sue us," he taunted, "so we can go into court with you and prove you did it." The gutsy Pagones did just that. He sued Sharpton (and two of his associates) for defamation. In 1998 he was completely vindicated; the jury awarded $345,000 in damages. But Sharpton, who rebukes Dean for being "too arrogant to say `I'm wrong,' " has never asked Pagones's pardon for his repellent slander. He is unrepentant about having incited the Brawley hoax. Indeed, he doesn't admit that it was a hoax. When Tim Russert urged him on "Meet the Press" to apologize for his role in the ugly affair, Sharpton replied: "I think all of us need to take women's claims more seriously." Russert pressed him a few times, finally asking again: "No apology for Tawana Brawley?" Replied Sharpton: "No apology for standing up for civil rights." For years, anti-Semitic and racist hate-mongering has been broadcast shamelessly by all the major black radio stations. In the months before the Harlem Massacre, the Reverend Al Sharpton and others broadcast a series of rallies attacking non-black Harlem store owners in the vilest of terms. The arson which killed 8 people at Freddy's clothing store on December 9, truly proved that those broadcasts were inflammatory, and those words, incendiary. The Jewish Action Alliance has been taping these stations for years and therefore was able quickly to provide tape copies of these broadcasts to the police and press. The Jewish Post has had this tape professionally transcribed. Unlike the New York Times, the New York Post, and the Daily News, all of which printed just a few excerpts, all the relevant material on the JAA tape -- which may put Al Sharpton out of business -- is printed below!

Al Sharpton is showbiz -- a former boy preacher, turned reckless demagogue, turning (he hopes) into an elder statesman of Black America. He has always loved the limelight and hung out with celebrities such as Mahalia Jackson, James Brown, Michael Jackson and Don King. Say what you want about him, he's certainly entertaining. He grew up in a prosperous, suburban family (his dad was a landlord and businessman) and was a child prodigy as a preacher. By age 7, he was touring with gospel great Mahalia Jackson and Bishop F.D. Washington, the renowned Pentacostal minister of Brooklyn's Washington Temple Church of God in Christ as "the Wonder Boy Preacher." At age 10, however, his parents divorced due to an affair his dad had with Sharpton's half-sister (ie his dad's step-daughter.) Sharpton's mother was forced to go on welfare, and at one point they went without electricity for 6 months. Al became an ordained minister shortly after his parents' divorce. Al got involved in social activism during his teenage years, organizing several youth protests before he graduated from high school in 1972, and forming a national youth movement, named "National Youth Movement." After two years of college, he dropped out and worked as national touring manager for singer James Brown, where he met his wife Kathy. (They have two teenage daughters.) Since then he has led numerous publicity grabbing protests following incidents of racial attacks and police brutality (such as the police assault of Haitian immigrant Abner Luoima) and formed a national action network (called "National Action Network") with 20 chapters around the country. In other words, like Pat Buchanan and Jesse Jackson, he is a political figure famous for incendiary talk and not much else. he is not attempting to fight for civil rights. No, in fact he is main priority is to accept as many donations from the black community as possible while protraying a man of God fighting for black rights. The irony of it all is the simple fact that he has so many within the black community fooled into believing he really is a sheep, when all you have to do is unzip and reveal his true identity -- a wolf. Now, that is truly sad!

I blog in my free time, not that I have free time..LOL...but Bro. Al is a topic we discuss very often.

A Racist is a Person That Identifies With a RaceVoted for by david13.
If your highest being is identity with a race, then you are a racist regardless whether you hate other races. A racist simply means your highest identity is with the group that is united by race. So, if you say you are black, then you are racist. If you say you are white, the you are a racist. What am I? I am a human being.
