better to have love and lost than to never have loved at all?

Is it really better to have been in love and had your heart broken than to never have been in love.

    I believe you are right. Even if your love has ended, its memories give you hope for more to come. And that love keeps you going. You can always remember that special feeling you had for that special person, remember what it was like, and hope and believe in the future.

  • Yeah, but I want to know what you think

    I think anyone who has ever experienced real love wouldn't take it back for the world, unless there is an anger built up in their heart towards that person. Anger is blinding, and so is infatuation, but I believe to love is to see more clearly.

    i hear this saying everywhere and i dont buy it. in my opinion, if someone has never loved, then they dont know what they're missing, which is a good thing because they dont feel any pain. where as if someone has loved and lost, then they are constantly reminded of that magical feeling they used to have, and to me, that sounds like torture. it just seems like they would have to deal with i giant hole in their life. I think it kind of goes hand in hand with the whole ignorance is bliss issue. now im only 17 so ive never experienced love so maybe im off base here.

  • To have loved or never loved at all?

    I think it's the moments where you feel as if you're dying, you can't sleep, think or whatever that you wish you never met them. but deep down inside you don't mean that. Hmm i've been heartbroken and at times i wish the pain would go away cos it can change you as a person, and sometimes you just wanna be happy. but then i look back and those people who i thought i loved i shared something special with, and would rather have felt and experienced what they had to offer, than never meeting them at all, which is sorta scary.
