Does Hillary want are government to be a joke or something? You want criminals to have the right to vote when they shouldn’t even be citizens? They should have no priveledges, they commit the crime and they should have no say in what happens to them.
And what about the violence that will cause? The mafia in a jail cell, it would take us back 20 years. And do you realize that they all would vote one way in hopes of getting pardons by the president??? I don’t know seems like a disgusting way to win votes, how low hillary.

OK... She wants Felons to be able to vote, That statement is a misnomer. Secondly the only reason she wants them to be able to vote, is because Felons would more than likely be supporters of the liberal democratic Idea that prisons should be Club-Med instead of the penal facilities they are. That would make Hillary a guaranteed victory politically. It states in the constitution that felons can't vote. It is not some obscure rule that was thrown in there. it's there for a reason. Do you honestly think that felons should vote? Do you have the deluded idea that people shouldn't be punished for the crimes they commit? Of course felons shouldn't be able to vote. Besides if you are a felon you can apply for rights to get that privilage back. Each application is looked at on a case by cas basis. But to just say "OK... All of you ex-cons can vote now" is just wrong. She's looking for votes. She's pandering to the criminal element. She also wants college tuition for illegal immigrants on the taxpayers tab. is that right? Again just pandering to the latino vote. Why should we bow down to there demands or Hillary's for that matter. OH WAIT A MINUTE, That's right she thinks that the constitution is a "living breathing document" that should be manipulated at her whim. People, just realize that when you start screwing around with the constitution and the bill of rights we will all be doomed. Once you let one right go, or begin manipulating it to suit your, or anyone elses, political views we will begin systematicly lose all of our rights. Now I know that you liberals would love that in your self rightsious Mindsets, but please realize that you all benefit from the constitution every day and you use the rights and freedoms laid down in that contract with the people to Bash it and the idea that all American citizens should be free. You use your constitutional rights to promote socialism and so does Hillary. It's discusting to me.

Of all the things we take away from our unfortunate members of society who commit crime, voting should not be one of them, after all this IS a free country. Taking the rights to vote away from ANY American Citizen is not only unjust, but Un-American.

are we not a free society and do we all not have the right to vote? as i see it if you do not allow them to vote you discriminate (tough they do deserve it) it is not fair and completely goes against what our country is about. i do not like the idea about criminals voting but they have the same rights we do and because they committed a crime makes them no less a citizen than you or me.

If you are a crimminal, you should vote for her! Actually, I suspect this is misinformation. Hillary is a very intelligent person. After release, I would return the right to vote. It might help in rehabilitation to allow them to vote in prison, and I don’t see that it hurts.

Those of you who are conservatives can blow it out of your ears, maybe that’d let you listen for a change, I’m not going to comment on Hillary as stated in the topic, but rather on how people such as silent and pozo are bashing the left by making up outrageous situations about “what ifs.” Specifically 2 comments piss me off, 1. “Does Hillary want are government to be a joke or something?”

2. On pozo’s ENTIRE comment, what are you thinking, people make good and bad decisions everyday. I used to think that maybe no one would be able to get into office that would make decisions that were horrible for this country until I saw the 109th congress in action. You put forth an argument that is not only not very unlikely, but is biased towards the thought that humanity is inherently bad and misguided, which is of course why we have an electorate anyway, because the people are too stupid to vote as a whole… right?

Should Criminals Vote For President???
I saw on the news that Hillary is heading a bill to allow federal criminals to be allowed to vote for president. should just any freakin' body be allowed to vote no matter what the circusmstances are? Or is there a certain line we should never cross? Maybe she is looking out for alot more than just criminal's rights...lmao. As a very far left liberal, maybe she hopes to get all the convict votes in 2008 when she most probably will make a run for president.February 22, 2005
